I have a few cushions @Dramaalpacas I make myself a reading nest then sling them on the floor to sleep. 😀

That's a lovely room...which just so happens to match this:

Busted! 😁
Not the only one on this thread either.

Tbf I also dream of such bedrooms which look nothing like mine

Fentylipgloss · 23/11/2022 22:14

Why are people posting fake pictures? I mean, they're all gorgeous..

Question for the owners of these lovely bedrooms with the Cushions stacked on the bed and the fancy throws- is their sole purpose to make the room look pretty? What do you do with them when you sleep in the bed? Is there a special box or something? And do you religiously put them on every morning? I am in awe.

I was wondering exactly the same thing. Fair enough if that's your personal style in your own home, but hotels seem to do this quite a lot - it just seems like a lot of very unnecessary work for housekeeping, when they must surely spend all night flung on to the dusty floor!

Ooo I'd like an answer to this too please. I really want to buy cushions for the bed but have a sneaking suspicion that they will end up annoying me having to take them on/off every day

bellabelly · 23/11/2022 22:17

I liked your one, @GrubzUp but I reckon the plants would all take too much looking after and if you had to water them in real life, you'd end up with soil / water all over that lovely bed.

I'm enjoying seeing all the pics - real or fake - it's giving me some inspiration for re-doing our bedroom. Just as soon as I get the damp and mould sorted... I'm far too ashamed of the absolute state of ours to post a pic!

Is the bed frame from B&M? Think we've got the same one.

Are all those stools meant to be so that people can watch you while you sleep? That would make me nervous (but that's just me).

ClaudineClare · 23/11/2022 22:21

PlasticTatMNBingo It is a bit busy for me. I think you should Mrs Hinch it with some grey.

I haven't posted a picture as it's a complete mess at the moment, but I use my extra cushions to prop myself/DD up a bit when breastfeeding at night, or when reading. Then they get chucked on the floor when I'm sleeping.
And we do have a throw but only in winter and it is pulled up over the duvet at night for warmth.

SpentDandelion · 23/11/2022 22:22

My bedroom looks like I've just been burgled, plus l have all four of my cats snoozing, 3 on the bed, one on the floor, but it's my happy place.
All the photos are lovely, l like the GrubzUp one the best so far. That's how l wished my bedroom looked.

What a lovely bedroom. Rest of the house is gorgeous too. Lucky you. If I win the Euromillions I'll buy it off you!

How the hell did you find that?!😂 I looked at the picture and just knew it was too good to be true

Mine were stacked like that just for the staging pics when the house went on the market. In actuality it would drive me mad and I could never live with it like that day to day!

FlissyPaps · 23/11/2022 22:23

You can tell by a mile off the fake Pinterest pictures 😂😂

OP - I love your room! Love this idea. I’d join in but there’s currently a half empty messy suitcase taking up the floor that I cba to unpack yet.

OneFrenchEgg · 23/11/2022 22:24

I love our bedroom, we waited 15 years of doing the kids rooms, the boiler etc before we had lovely fitted furniture and wallpaper and a carpet! I love it but it would be outing as I've shown so many people 😂 I'll try and find the furniture.

Pandapop101 · 23/11/2022 22:24

Some of these bedrooms are beautiful!!
we have a loft conversion bedroom, we currently are struggling for ideas for how to store our clothes, we currently have them on rails in the eaves as the ceiling angles down with the roof each side of the room.
Cannot seem to find a decent solution as cannot fit a full sized wardrobe!

Yes, I have a personal choir who sing me lullabies and then sit and watch over me when I sleep.
