Sorry @Jaybird43 they are a fabric from Sophie all port. I use them in the summer and spring but have a Laura Ashley design up atm for winter.

I would post a photo of my bedroom but is a bit messy and I have worry about it not being tidy enough.

I'm planning on having a lodger in my small double/large single room and that really needs re-decorating, it has statement walls (floral/tropical and grey and white stripes) and I might do mine again as currently peach/apricot walls, navy curtains (blackout ones) and a sleigh bed (wooden) plus pine wooden furniture but it stores loads - huge double wardrobe with drawers underneath it etc. My bedroom was last painted 5 years ago and my ex had lived with me before then so was just pleased he was gone and repainted it - he was far more into bling and grey Farrow and Ball type walls which isn't me at all.

Even though I don't have a job as of now (long story) I have savings and was planning on redoing my bedroom so these give me some ideas.

This is the estate agents pic of my last bedroom, won't post one of the current room as it's strewn with cloths and baby equipment, and has a monstrous pine wardrobe dominating. Hoping to get and ensuite and fitted wardrobes installed, then painting grey-blue on the chimney breast and linen white elsewhere - I like bold colours. Have a mustard accent armchair and lovely shutters since we're on the corner of a main road.

I like this one for some reason - colours and mix of fabrics/patterns.

Ta to the lovely pp's about the window furnishings. I have ideas now. Sadly the rest of the bedroom is worse. I don't even know where to put the bed. I'm happy to paint the two chests of drawers but it is all a disaster really. Pics include WIR and ensuite. All terrible.

So embarrassed - but worth it if someone can help me out like the lovely pp's about the window treatments!

TattiePants · 24/11/2022 12:07

This is mine looking significantly tidier thanks it does today!

Thanks for all the love for my en suite. I can't take the credit; it was there when I moved in.

11GrumpsaGrumping · 24/11/2022 12:11

My current room is in a rental and very ikea... so here is my bedroom in the house I own and designed

11GrumpsaGrumping · 24/11/2022 12:13

Htmmm no idea why it won't post

TattiePants · 24/11/2022 12:14

@marvellousmaple aw thanks, you’ve made my day. What you can’t see from the photo is that I used the wrong type of paint and you only have to breath on it for it to mark! Not good with two DCs that constantly lean on it.

Love this one!

nannybeach · 24/11/2022 12:22

I have no idea how to add a picture on here, just as well, after seeing some of the ones. I have cushions and a throw,at night they are dumped on the floor in the corner. The throw is to keep muddy dog paws from bedding. Anyway it's nearly all IKEA. After retirement from 30 years nights, such a rubbish sleeper, did the whole "sleep hygiene", white walls, white furniture. Have now added a little blue/mustard on the bedding. 10 minutes from the sea,so cushions, ornaments are nautical.

katseyes7 · 24/11/2022 12:27

My bedroom. In two separate houses, but it's much the same.
You can't see much of the rest of the room because there wasn't a lot of room to get far enough back to take a photo.

Here's mine. Bed is a superking TV bed that I thought I'd use all the time. I turned it on when it arrived to make sure it was working and it's never been used since. But it is better than our old double bed for sure!

I was just thinking of that woman who posted a photo of a hotel room on a similar thread a while back. I wonder whether this is the same woman back again!

I remember that. Oh crumbs I thought after shed been rumbled.

I don't think she was being serious though.

Question for the owners of these lovely bedrooms with the Cushions stacked on the bed and the fancy throws- is their sole purpose to make the room look pretty? What do you do with them when you sleep in the bed? Is there a special box or something? And do you religiously put them on every morning? I am in awe.

I was wondering exactly the same thing. Fair enough if that's your personal style in your own home, but hotels seem to do this quite a lot - it just seems like a lot of very unnecessary work for housekeeping, when they must surely spend all night flung on to the dusty floor!

Sometimes I use them. Other times they end up at the end of the bed on the floor.

So annoying isn’t it. Get out of the way DP, I’m trying to take a picture of the sheets 🙄

😂

Who are the three people who chat to you in the bath? I hope one of them works for a floor tile company and gets you mates rates on some decent tiles, my vunerable toes are cringing and curling up at the thought of the splinter danger your poor toes are in.

What’s the dogs name btw ( see how I sneaked in a leading question designed to catch out the unwary bedroom spoofer)

Do not fear @viques (thank you for your concern) the floorboards have been hand smoothed by a team of child brides that my foundation supports, their singing as they joyfully, gratefully laboured away was nothing short of delightful. Floorboards as smooth as the silky skin of my feet.
The chairs are there for me, myself and I, although DH is sometimes allowed in to note down my thoughts (and admire my alabaster body) especially at this time of the year when looking forwards to bonus. Multitasking, you know.
My dog is Errol, isn't he darling? I am a little hurt by your suspicion, did you think I borrowed him for the shoot?
What is your sanctuary like, sweetie?
