Secondary Cancer confirmed I dont know what to

Im numb. I went to the haemotolgist with a lump in my groin 5cm. He really thought it was lymphoma and was direct that it would be cancer. The biopsy was sent off a week ago. And hes just rang its mestatic. Its like a dream. I feel fine. Thats it for me isnt it? Im only 55 where could it be from?

That's a fascinating explanation - yes, it would be wonderful if consultants gave a little more information.

I'm waiting for biopsy results on endometrial cells (two weeks now) and your mind constructs all these scenarios when you really have no idea what's happening.

I do hope the wait for results is bearable as it can be and that it's good news

Oh love, I’m in Aus. I hope the wait time news advice is like here. They give you a time-line and if they find something they tell you straight away, but if it’s not burningly urgent, you find out closer to the time they gave you. Waiting is just horrible. I’m happy to be your person when everyone else is asleep. X

I got an appointment through today for medical oncologist out patients in December. No further forward on what cancer it is, im hoping the original haemotologist was wrong and its not secondaries but a primary. I keep crying everytime i see someone who doesnt know like the pharmacist in my local shop. Im a practical person and want to make arrangements but everyone is saying its too early wait while I have a plan.

I'm so sorry, also got cancer atm. The waiting is very hard, and it is difficult to plan things though I found you could think of like day things you would like to do then just grab them when you can. And when things are tough take things day by day.

Hopefully your appointment isn't too far into December. I am glad to hear you have good support x

Just got an appointment through for a PET scan next weekend after my night shift. Im praying there will be something they can do. I feel bloody fine. I don5 ant to go of& ick a5 work just yet as ideally I need to do a couple of overtime shifts as back up.

Well Im easily confused. Its 1340 tomorrow. A friend is coming withnme. I still look and feel fine. I have another small lump in the opposite groin now. That cant be good. Im just having a Baileys and watching the football. I just hope its something that can be treated or managed for a very long time. Thanks for your wishes x

Oh OP. This waiting must be torture, hoping this is the worse bit. Like someone said to me in here once , when someone gets a diagnosis a whole system and plan kicks in which is reassuring because experts are 'doing the worrying for you' in terms of figuring out the treatment plan and working towards the best outcomes.
