We're having super noodles with chopped up hot dogs.

Nothing beats a nasty Friday tea.

Those frozen TGIs boneless wings from Iceland with a fuck load of Franks Hot Sauce and blue cheese mayo.

flowerycurtain · 11/11/2022 18:53

Balmoral pie.

Made last time we had sausages and mash and put in the freezer. It's a couple of tins of beans mixed with sausages chopped up with a mash topping.

Food of the gods on a tired Friday with PMT.

Batshitkerazy · 11/11/2022 18:54

Sushi

elizabethdraper · 11/11/2022 18:54

Aldi breaded cod
Aldi frozen chips in skins
In the air fryer
With Aldi stout celab with dot beer

Perfect Friday zero effort food

VerveClique · 11/11/2022 18:55

Fish fingers, oven chips, spaghetti hoops and a nice red wine Grin.

Notateacheranymore · 11/11/2022 18:55

Hog Roast sausages from our favourite local butcher, extracted from the freezer last night, with air fryer chips and SW friendly fried eggs.

The runny yolks were spot on - glad DH is here or I'd live on sandwiches for ever.

AuntieDickhead · 11/11/2022 18:57

We had pie and mash with cabbage and gravy. The only work involved was peeling and chopping the potatoes which DS1 did whilst I had a bath. Perfect!

SudocremOnEverything · 11/11/2022 18:57

We had leftovers. 😁

SeverusSnapeAlways · 11/11/2022 18:59

Homemade chilli with rice and homemade wedges.
Save the Leftovers for an even lazier day.

Moranguinho · 11/11/2022 19:02

Warm tabuleh with salmon.

BeastOfBODMAS · 11/11/2022 19:04

Takeaway because I found £30 in the street 💪

Fantina · 11/11/2022 19:09

@WoodlandWalks123 Yes! There’s two recommended ones. I found mine completely by chance one Friday night when I nipped in on the drive home for milk and everyone was queuing for them and I got some because I had FOMO. Now we never get takeaways anymore - they have so much more meat and each tub does two of us.

Winning!

Cheats paella- sausages that needed using today, chorizo, an onion and whatever fresh veg from the fridge that needed using up + frozen peas and sweetcorn, all fried up quickly, add two packets of golden veg microwave rice pouches, a chicken stockpot and tons of soy sauce. It was goood and one out of the two kids ate it all, so I'm calling it a win (ignoring the fact that the other barely touched it...)

Kids had chocolate banana for pud - microwave a sliced banana with a few choc chips for 30 secs, mush up and add squirty cream. They think this is the best treat ever. Ice cream mars bars for us.

2 course meal sorted in the time it would take to order and collect a takeaway - trying so hard to forget that all I really wanted was salt and pepper chicken and chips from the Chinese...

olivehater · 11/11/2022 19:13

Our local butchers does fab things like marinated chicken stirfrys. So easy and tastes fresh.

GalesThisMorning · 11/11/2022 19:13

We had beef keema and rice pilaf from a gousto box. It was delicious, about 30 mins to cook, and felt almost like a takeaway as I didn't have to shop or think about what to cook!

If anyone wants a referral code I'll post it, you'll get a 5 meals for £15 and I'll get the same!

LesOliviers · 11/11/2022 19:15

Carbonara

Belindabelle · 11/11/2022 19:15

I had poached smoked haddock with leeks, cream and lemon. Served with cauliflower cheese. Tasted amazing, like the best cheesy macaroni without the carbs.

wineandsunshine · 11/11/2022 19:22

Pizza Express meal deal from Tesco - the lasagne was pretty decent!

Jennylou88 · 11/11/2022 19:30

Ooo fake nandos for us! Can't wait! X

spiderontheceiling · 11/11/2022 19:34

Fish & chips for lunch so wasn't planning on much but then made DD a chicken stir fry which looked & smelt delicious and whet my appetite but I can't be bothered to cook again so will probably have toast!

Sgtmajormummy · 11/11/2022 19:36

I put the oven on for frozen pizza so I also made spinach ricotta and egg pie, a vaguely lemon cake for dessert/breakfast and a tin of shortcake for tomorrow’s Millionaire’s Shortcake.

Our usual lazy Friday dinner is egg fried rice with a few more ingredients than takeaway style.

ElizabethinherGermanGarden · 11/11/2022 19:37

We've just had an M&S seafood gratin. It was £8 for two, so dear-ish for a ready meal but much cheaper than takeaway. It was DELICIOUS.

FettleOfKish · 11/11/2022 19:38

A tin of scotch broth and a fresh crusty roll. DH is out and I cannot be even the tiniest bit arsed to cook.

DWMoosmum · 11/11/2022 19:38

All day I'd had chorizo risotto in my head so that's what we had. Roasted veg with risotto rice and chorizo, topped with parmesan. Really easy to make and super tasty. Followed by half a bag of peanut m and m's.
