I watched it again last night. There were so many things I’d missed the first time, like Paul calling Kevin “Keith” when he was walking into school to meet Julia. Julia was knocking on the window and calling him Keith way back in the first ever episode. 😂

It took me several episodes to work out I'd already seen it. Was excited that it might be new.

There's no Season 3 episode 2 on iPlayer. Just 1 and 3- can anyone shed any light?

The last episode, where she calls Garry (2 ‘r’s) and talks about how she feels like she lost herself, I find very tough. I feel very similar at the moment.

Yes..I think Julia represents a lot of women. Exhausted by motherhood, unappreciative husbands and elderly parents. Constantly in demand yet no one really notices them.

The Christmas special makes me blub at the end !

I wish Julia had had an affair with Garry the builder... her husband is useless and awful to her.

It’s a beautifully relatable scene. I have felt like that many times and it’s so tough. The way she snaps back into regular Julia is also relatable.

Yes the music is gorgeous and I can’t for the life of me find out the name of the choir

I think that’s the beauty of Motherland. So funny, the observational comedy, but also moments that are more serious, but integral to women dealing with children, partners, parents, whilst trying not to lose their own identity.

I agree re both ! Her husband is awful. but Garry doesn't seem to like her let alone fancy her 😂

I think he assumes she is just a spoilt middle class mum
