For me, I would buy the Jo Malone advent calendar - i have just managed to get the Molton Brown one for my main christmas present for £166 ( will be doing all the opening on the day, not the lead up )

But cannot justify £350 on a present for myself.

What would you buy?

Some new DM boots ☺️ with a significant win I'd buy several pairs 😂

TheWomanTheyCallJayne · 08/11/2022 09:14

Contact lenses

Mrsjayy · 08/11/2022 09:15

I'd get a personal shopper is that too extravagant? Anyway I'm small and a bit dumpy and I despair at clothes shopping so someone to dress me would be such a treat.

I want an ooni, but DP thinks they are gimmicky and a waste of money, so am never sure whether to buy one. Definitely would if I had lots of spare cash though!

Regular massage and a yoga/Pilates instructor.

A cleaner

Coffeaddict · 08/11/2022 09:29

I'd love to eat out more, nice restraunts or even good take aways. At the moment we get take away about once a year as we can't justify it within our budget

LadyHelenaJustina · 08/11/2022 09:29

New boots.
a personal trainer.

Lego Diagon Alley for DDs, and the World Map and Titanic for myself.

Lovely teeth!

Depending on how much I won, I'd buy all the frivolous things I've been lusting after - some nice candles, posh bathing stuff etc. I'd buy proper curtains for the living room and the kids bedrooms, and pay for all the bits of redecorating that need doing. I'd also buy much better quality everyday shopping - food, clothes, etc, and have my hair cut properly more than once a year! I'd have a one off deep cleaner too, and buy a heat pump tumble dryer.

If it was a big win we'd do the home improvements we need - new windows, doors etc throughout, new carpets throughout, complete garden redesign and all new planting.

confusedlots · 08/11/2022 09:40

Definitely a cleaner! And maybe hire an interior designer and get some lovely curtains made and nice furnishings etc.

Definitely this. Dh used to buy me clothes at Christmas, often from Debenhams, and I'd often end up taking them back and exchanging them as they didn't fit/suit me. I kept telling him that what I really wanted was a voucher for the Personal Shopper Experience but I never got it!

Rainbowqueeen · 08/11/2022 09:45

Gourmet cheese. Plus I’d work my way through all the different brands of French champagne until I’d tried them all

Kpo58 · 08/11/2022 09:46

A ride in a taxi.

Totally worth it! We used it at least once a week over the summer, saved a fortune on takeaways (you can make great pizza cheaper than you can buy a half decent supermarket one!) and they are so much nicer than any we can get around here.

MrsSkylerWhite · 08/11/2022 09:48

A zoo pass, some linen bedding and a week in a cottage right on the beach in St. Ives. And put the heating on 😁

Natsku · 08/11/2022 09:48

Gym membership and a personal trainer. I need someone telling me what to do or I just get bored and give up with exercise.
Also, take the train (with the luxury of a taxi to the train station as its too far to walk and I don't drive) to the city once a month and eat at a restaurant and visit the big library that has a decent collection of english language books (my town's library has about 6 shelves worth and I've read all of them that are worth reading already).

Izzywhizzyisverybusy · 08/11/2022 09:49

A whole wardrobe of new clothes instead of making do with my over 10 years old tat.

Something like Prep Kitchen where complete meals get delivered to me and I just heat them up. I hate thinking about what to eat, preparing it, washing up, all that crap. It would improve my life immeasurably!
