If you won the lottery, what would you buy thats not wildly expensive, but is too much really to buy every day?

For me, I would buy the Jo Malone advent calendar - i have just managed to get the Molton Brown one for my main christmas present for £166 ( will be doing all the opening on the day, not the lead up )

But cannot justify £350 on a present for myself.

What would you buy?

Massages, spar treatments, chef prepped meals already cooked to my door, gardener who would get free reign to source and buy plants and sort it all out, a personal trainer and home gym, a pizza oven under a big permanent built in gazebo (the type where you bring the indoors outside) out back complete with fancy bbq, smoker etc like a mini kitchen walled off, a cleaner, a trusted amazing mary poppins-like baby sitter ... I can dream 😂

A kitchen aid mixer and a stack of Elemis products.

A kitchen aid mixer and a stack of Elemis products.

I would go for the full range of Kitchen aid range and all the accessories and have it engraved.

Hire a cleaner then buy a little Mazda convertible, the don't cos more than my car but being 2 seater it wasn't practical. We would move to a house with at least another 2 bedrooms so all the kids can come at once, and a triple garage for the motorbikes

A chauffeur

I'd have curtains MADE out of a fabric I loved - for every room of the house. (Instead of finding bargains that I 'quite like' online)

Exercise classes that I used to do before the prices increased.
My own electric or hybrid car
Regular facial
A cleaner and decorator. After decorating downstairs recently, my knees are shot!
The Orient Express trip.
Beautiful candles delivered regularly.
Trips to the theatre

I'd go to the cheese shop and try out a selection of expensive cheeses.

UnOeufIsEnough · 09/11/2022 20:24

I'd employ a garden designer and have our whole garden overhauled with a covered area for rainy weather as well as ensuring I had seasonal colour all year round.

Then I'd have a gardener to maintain it!

FlamingBells · 09/11/2022 20:30

Estee Lauder Desert Eden £80 for a bottle of perfume

Fortnum and Mason Dark Chocolate Macadamia Biscuits

Regular flower subscriptions

Fitflop boots and shoes

SpikyHatePotato · 09/11/2022 20:35

New knees are first on the list

Then an interior designer/project manager to redo my whole flat - new kitchen, new bathroom, fully redecorate, whilst I stayed in a hotel and didn't have to deal with it all.

A house keeper

Thought of another one - I need an endoscopy but the nhs won't do it under general anaesthetic and I can't have it done under sedation, (too panicky). So I'd have it done privately and get a shit hot anaesthetist to knock me out properly.

Speedweed · 10/11/2022 10:58

I'd have a housekeeper, who would manage the cleaner and gardener, and do weekly mealplans and shopping.

I'd also have someone to come and trim/blowdry my hair whenever I wanted, and I'd get a stylist twice a year to update my wardrobe and do all the necessary shopping, returns and alterations.

Basically a team to do all my life admin!
