If you won the lottery, what would you buy thats not wildly expensive, but is too much really to buy every day?

For me, I would buy the Jo Malone advent calendar - i have just managed to get the Molton Brown one for my main christmas present for £166 ( will be doing all the opening on the day, not the lead up )

But cannot justify £350 on a present for myself.

What would you buy?

Something like Prep Kitchen where complete meals get delivered to me and I just heat them up. I hate thinking about what to eat, preparing it, washing up, all that crap. It would improve my life immeasurably!

Oh now this !

MegGriffinshat · 08/11/2022 09:57

I would have my hair professionally coloured for the first time ever. I’d never touch a crappy box dye again.

Montana1612 · 08/11/2022 10:00

Veneers.
A week in a spa hotel with lovely treatments and room service.
lots of Charlotte Tilbury makeup.

Regular things to keep me sane so a weekly (twice weekly?! That would be brilliantly extravagant) cleaner who also does all the laundry, personal yoga teacher twice weekly, lifetime membership to national trust and national theatre, yearly rail season tickets, fresh flower delivery every two weeks from Bloom and Wild

Idratherbepaddleboarding · 08/11/2022 10:01

A cleaner (well their time I wouldn’t actually buy the cleaner) every day.
Heating!

Blanketwars · 08/11/2022 10:02

Me and DP were talking about this the other day, but our criteria were what would be the one tangible thing you would buy immediately- not a holiday or whatever, but an object that you could get delivered. Your instant lottery treat. Mine would be a fuck off handbag…… couriered into my hot little hands 😊

barbrahunter · 08/11/2022 10:04

That pink coat in Hush at the moment.

StClare101 · 08/11/2022 10:05

A decent wardrobe. Not crazy prices but more than I spend now - better quality and structure.

Botox.

HermioneWeasley · 08/11/2022 10:06

I don’t need any stuff so it would be experiences - daily massage, housekeeper, private chef

Fortuny · 08/11/2022 10:09

Laser hair removal, a weekly house clean.

Or only buying bread from our local sourdough bakery. At £4 a loaf it's a treat.

mumda · 08/11/2022 10:10

I have a list. Not on my phone.

Damnautocorrect · 08/11/2022 10:10

id use a milk man

for milk delivery services obviously. Not in a pat mustard way.

Creamcrackersandricecakes · 08/11/2022 10:12

Horses. Lots and lots of horses. And ponies. Donkeys too. Goats. As many dogs as I'm allowed. Ditto cats.

EarlofShrewsbury · 08/11/2022 10:16

Nike Air Jordan 4 in Retro Red.

I got some for £8 in a charity shop and loved them. They've fallen to bits now and are 400 quid to replace with new.

Kallaxaddict · 08/11/2022 10:16

Food shopping at Marks and Spencers, dinner out/ takeaway, new carpets/ decorate.

HammerheadCorvette · 08/11/2022 10:16

I'd have the house decorated- properly, in one go, and without the mess or injury that I'd get doing a shit job of it.

Braces.

A full medical MOT - you know where they look at everything you can't be arsed doing to the GP about.

And I'd eat own brand food - Heinz beans, baby!

mondaytosunday · 08/11/2022 10:17

I'd get a cleaner to come twice a week, and fresh flowers every week too.

Thatsshallot1967 · 08/11/2022 10:19

A gorgeous blonde hunk (maybe Swedish) with an oiled, tanned six-pack to come and give me a daily massage on my aching stressed shoulders and neck - for the rest of my life.

Dacquoise · 08/11/2022 10:27

Mrsjayy · 08/11/2022 09:15

I'd get a personal shopper is that too extravagant? Anyway I'm small and a bit dumpy and I despair at clothes shopping so someone to dress me would be such a treat.

Oooo yes! Would be lovely to have a different view on what suits as I tend to stick to the similar shapes and styles.

Totally worth it! We used it at least once a week over the summer, saved a fortune on takeaways (you can make great pizza cheaper than you can buy a half decent supermarket one!) and they are so much nicer than any we can get around here.

This is how I imagine it! We love pizza, but we don't really like supermarket ones and only Dominoes deliver here. They are overpriced and gross. I love the idea of proper, homemade, wood fired pizza. Maybe I will just buy one!

My car valeted really well by someone other than me . We have a Dalmatian. If you know , you know .

Tallulasdancingshoes · 08/11/2022 10:30

A decorator to come and do our bedroom.

Tippexy · 08/11/2022 10:32

Yet another lottery thread this morning!

GoodnightGentleBoris · 08/11/2022 10:33
