That’s it really. Total and utter twat.

Anyone else suspicious about tonight's Bush tucker trial? I am convinced they gave normal stuff to boy George, and really rotten stuff to Hancock. Everything Boy George got looked normal, but was apparently 'fermented' and
he didn't have much trouble eating it. I have no idea why they would cheat in his favour, but the whole thing seemed fake to me.

Oh I don't know, BG was struggling with some of it and his eyes were watering. Just because his was fruit, didn't mean it wasn't vile tasting.
You can't really recreate anus, vagina and penis for vegetarians though, so maybe texture wise MH came off worse, but not necessarily taste.

No, I thought it was genuine.

Benjispruce4 · 11/11/2022 22:41

No not suspicious. BG struggled more than MH.

It’s because he is vegetarian. I do think after eating all that disgusting stuff BG should have been offered more than mushrooms AGAIN for dinner. It’s not nutritious and there aren’t enough calories quite apart from everything else. Yea

RosettaStormer · 11/11/2022 23:05

Don’t know wheee the yea appeared from.

Benjispruce4 · 12/11/2022 07:39

I can’t believe they are only giving BG mushrooms as the vegetarian alternative. I know he has beans for protein but the others have different meat or fish each night.

RosettaStormer · 12/11/2022 08:40

He’s not complaining though. Some of the others are moaning about the hunger but he’s just putting up with it. Having eaten all that truly revolting stuff he deserves more than mushrooms. Just not fair.

MultiTulip · 12/11/2022 09:36

He was literally gagging, sweating and had tears in his eyes. It was very obviously not fake.

NCFT0922 · 12/11/2022 10:20

@MultiTulip this is good to hear. Maybe he knows how his victim felt now; sweating, gagging and with tears in eyes.

Tulipomania · 12/11/2022 10:25

I think the anti Boy George sentiment is being fuelled by Hancock's team to take the heat off him.

You've all made your points about the crime he did years ago, and he has paid the price for it, apologised and completely reformed his lifestyle.

But has not once shown remorse for the terrible things he has done.... BG is a revolting criminal that does not seem to care about anyone but himself. He is a total fake.

As for MH team instigating this, don't be ridiculous! There is NOTHING they can do to take the heat off him!

NCFT0922 · 12/11/2022 10:47

@Tulipomania by hancocks team? No, by people who find what he did completely reprehensible. I couldn’t care less if he now prays to a plant or chants on tv. He is a disgusting piece of shit.

Have you seen the Piers Morgan Life Stories with Boy George?

CredibilityProblem · 12/11/2022 11:11

According to the usually reliable Popbitch, MH's PR team have indeed been trying to interest journalists in running stories to remind the population of BG's conviction and the nasty details to take the heat off Hancock. They didn't suggest that the PR firms were running Astro-turf social media posts as well, but then they wouldn't necessarily know that (they know about the approaches to journalists because the journos are spilling the beans).

If that’s true about MHs PR team it’s disgraceful

RangerHamzaHasTheRangeDarling · 12/11/2022 11:44

Sorry, unsolicited whatsapp messages, not tweets.

His adviser knows the game is up, though. He has been busy sending reporters unsolicited WhatsApp messages highlighting any tweets that have been vaguely supportive of Matt
(John Grace)

Eastie77Returns · 12/11/2022 11:44

BG committed a crime and paid the price for it as decided in a court of law. Is he meant to spend the rest of his life apologising? He may or may not be a pompous arse (no idea, never met the guy) but continuing to berate him all these years later is ridiculous. His victim has been well enough to give extensive interviews about his ordeal over this years and has hopefully overcome some of the trauma.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 12/11/2022 11:47

i dont care that he paid the price and apologised
it just shows what he is capable of!

Eastie77Returns · 12/11/2022 12:11

We are all ‘capable’ of extreme behaviour. He was very unwell at the time and as far as we know he hasn’t done anything similar since. It’s not as if he’s a serial offender. He has always maintained he did not beat his victim and he was realised early, 4 months into his sentence, so clearly the authorities did not consider him a threat to the public. It was obviously a deeply disturbing one off incident.

Since you don’t think his apology is enough, what else do you think he should do?

MrsLargeEmbodied · 12/11/2022 12:16

not earn money from this sort of appearance.

Personally I view primetime tv as a huge opportunity, not a right for disgraced performers.

I've no issue with BG living his life, having a career in music, but I don't see why he should get back that level of opportunity.

And that goes for anyone convicted of a sexual or violent crime.

Deadringer · 12/11/2022 12:34

I actually quite like Boy George, despite his past. I just thought his stuff was easier, with Hancock getting anuses, vaginas and penises but I concede that BG being a vegetarian makes it tricky. (I haven't watched much so didn't realise he was veggie). I suppose the fact that they keep playing his songs (thus exposing them to a younger audience who have possibly never heard them before) and the huge amount of money he was paid it just seemed to me that they were championing him in some way.
