And will this finally rid of us Jacob Rees Mogg and his ilk?

Jacob is the same ilk as Rishi, what are you on about?

Wishful thinking :(

asblindasabat · 24/10/2022 17:20

Who do we think will be the new Deputy Prime Minister? I’m sure he won’t keep Coffey on!

Silver lining!!!

EstellaRijnveld · 24/10/2022 17:23

Please not Suella Braverman again

antipodeancanary · 24/10/2022 17:24

Hunt stays as chancellor
Cleverly stays as foreign
Wallace stays as defence.

These to stay.
Gove for home. Nothing for Kemi Braverman and Moudaunt. Something for Raab possibly plus Zahawi at health and Javid somewhere.

nokitchen · 24/10/2022 17:25

JRM is absolutely not like Sunak. He toured the local conservative associations briefing against Sunak before the last vote.

I would imagine deputy PM would be a woman, but can't think of who he would appoint.

FannyCann · 24/10/2022 17:26

Please God someone decent for Health.
Glad I didn't bother my arse writing a letter to TC.

I think she's unavoidable tbh. Sure a deal was done to block support for Johnson. Same for Braverman.

Shit. Both horrible.

Sunak committed to the Rwanda plan during the summer and has pledged to make it work. Similar dreams to Braverman.

I hope the price of her support wasn't bringing her back in as Home Sec.

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 24/10/2022 17:33

I didn't even know that Jacob Rees-Mogg had an elk. Confused

I really hope he doesn't have Badenoch. I thought she seemed awful in her leadership campaign. I'm so tired of all the 'woke' rhetoric and culture wars.

He probably will. He loves pandering to the culture wars, 'anti-woke' nonsense.

That's how he and Kemi make themselves acceptable to the tories. He even joked about his brown skin to make them accept him.

balalake · 24/10/2022 17:50

I agree with the comments about Michael Gove's ability though think he is the rudest man in politics. I'm not so sure he'd want another cabinet post though.

Agree about wanting Jacob Rees-Mogg out.

YogaLite · 24/10/2022 22:10

@TwoLeftSocksWithHoles RoFL @elk

YogaLite · 24/10/2022 22:12

I really don't want to see Raab or JRM anywhere near the cabinet

blackpearwhitelilies · 24/10/2022 23:17

There are rumours Raab will be Home Secretary.

AutieAdult · 24/10/2022 23:29

Hopefully someone in Health who doesn’t share antibiotics with friends and thinks it’s ok even if just said in a private meeting.

@Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g I’m a non Tory who has developed a lot of respect for Gove too! I detested him as education sec so nobody is more surprised than me! I thought he was a highly effective and extremely progressive housing sec. I even told my other half I was half hoping Gove might be PM after the Truss debacle and made him promise not to tell a soul what I’d said!

KnickerlessParsons · 24/10/2022 23:54

I reckon Johnson will have a job. I think he and Penny must have been promised a reward if they pulled out of the competition. I reckon the 22 didn't want to a) risk an election and b) wait that long for a new PM to get going.

blackpearwhitelilies · 24/10/2022 23:58

I can’t see Johnson serving in someone else’s cabinet. I think he withdrew because he didn't have the numbers. It wouldn’t be his first lie.

Unseelie · 25/10/2022 00:05

Well, not Matt Hancock. Did you see that clip of Sunak arriving at number 10. Shakes hands/hugs a huge number of people, but Hancock, grinning at Sunak from only inches away, is totally invisible to him. Ouch!

omg! I totally forgot Matt Hancock even existed

EconomyClassRockstar · 25/10/2022 00:21

I just can't get over the photos of Sunak being celebrated by a whole load of people in blue suits (blue is the new grey) and they all think this is some kind of victory. It's a mess!

OMG yes! He made a fuss of people either side but completely blanked Hancock. Didn't even look at him!
