Fuck! I'm high. NORMAL?

So I got high as a teen by smoking it. Never smoked if for 15 odd years. Recently started using edibles for pain (I have lupus). No worries. Taken half a few times. Starting taking whole ones about 2 weeks ago, last one Friday. Took one about 7pm tonight and felt good but fine, pain helped, as usual. But then suddenly as of about 9pm I am SO FUCKING HIGH. Like, SuperHans-high. I've eaten about 12 penguins bars and a six pack of veg crisps meant for the kids packed lunch. My husband is here and thinks this is HILARIOUS. I'm headed for the whole block of cheese in the fridge door and laughing my arse off at Gavin and Stacey on iPlayer.

Is this normal? I've never had this while taking edibles before for the past month or so.

I am going to try the oil in a drink once i finish work and don't have to give sensible answers to strangers via whatsapp. My boss is incredibly easy going.. but I suspect there are limits and I have noooooo idea how one drop in a mug of tea is going to affect me yet as its years since I had any... and ive never eaten it, only smoked.

@WiddlinDiddlin how did it go? How many drops did you try?

Went for 1 drop in a mug of Chai (classy eh) which produced a nice mellow comfortable high, nothing dramatic and a long way off Super Hans levels.

I suspect two might be better but I wanted to take things easy to start with!

Oooh no, it's never had that effect on me though.

I did once have IV cyclazine in hospital and that does make me hallucinate which I found quite fascinating, but apparently, finding it fascinating is not reason to let it continue so they stopped that and morphined me up and whilst that also was very nice, not as fun. Meanies.

@Sassy306 tried ordering the sour patch but the website is a bit nuts. you have to spend over £100 which we did but then was told they needed 200 as a deposit. asked for a refund and they say it'll take 90 days?! did you have this trouble?

I did two drops of oil second time and that was a bit better, going to try three - I am being super conservative though as I want pain relief rather than 'super hans' high... (as fun as that would have been 20 years ago... mm!).

I am also being sure to take it on a full stomach and in a milky drink (two went into a small hot chocolate with some cinnamon. Nice, Montezumas hot choc for those who care, done with one of those battery whizzy foamer thingies.)

I certainly wake up feeling far better than if I have taken Robaxin at bedtime!

I went one further though... 2 weeks ago I took a puff of my friends 17 year old daughters, boyfriends cigarette. He needs it apparently, dunno what that means, no health problems or pain . His mother grows it along with the basil, thyme etc . I got massively ridiculed as I asked him if I could try his "marijuana cigarette" and I was thinking of this bloody thread as I took it!

Yes you can, up to 30% of the important active ingredient remains, I make chocolate brownies with my abv (already vaped bud).

My order from my edibles arrived today, lovely packaging and free sweets 😊 I went for low dose to start with, trying a quarter of one tonight, just to be on the safe side. I have fibromyalgia and hoping it will help with my pain.

How did you get on with three? I tried two drops today and feel mellow, but no difference to the pain.
