It was really cringe-worthy

She said 'deliver' about 230 times and blinked about 200 times a minute

She also said she's staying and is planning on leading the Tories into the next election! 😱

After this interview I have shelved the pity I was feeling for her. If I had done what she has I'd be leaving the country, changing my name and considering plastic surgery. She's certainly got a brass neck!

@willowstar Hi, fellow Truss-sufferer… I can’t work out how she gets in either. I’ve come to the conclusion that you could nail a blue rosette to a fence post around here, and people would vote for it! Utterly bizarre.

I met her through my work many years ago, when she was a minister for education. It was a weird experience - she‘d come to see the charity I worked for, which does lots of interesting stuff. You could have found out about international development, social issues in this country, certain aspects of the food industry, sport - all sorts. Yet she ended up banging on about childcare staffing ratios, which had absolutely nothing to do with anything we did. It was like she wasn’t listening when you spoke - she was thinking of what she wanted to say next.

I remember writing to her more recently, asking her to attend a National Autistic Society reception in Parliament. I took ages tailoring the boilerplate letter with details about my son’s experiences. I didn’t really expect her to go along. But she couldn’t even be bothered to send a reply. Not even a copy and paste job. Says it all.

None of this surprises me. Is she actually a real person? 🤔

She took a gamble she had no mandate for. Lost the bet. Now we will all pay the price for it.

£20bn per year is the estimated increase to the cost of gov borrowing that her little 'experiment' has cost us.

Add to the the 60bn the BoE spent.

Add the that the thousands extra we will all have to pay of mortgages, rents, price increases, credit debt and more.

I don't have enough swear words for what she's done.

As well as the generous monetary package for life I'm pretty sure ex PM's also get personal security paid for by the taxpayer.

If the triple lock goes then a lot of older votes won't vote for them . Look what happened to TM and her proposed "dementia tax." Utter disgrace if the Tories take advantage of the fixed term and limp on for another 2 years. Gawd help us!

The media were really kind to LT on the campaign trail and initially for her bonkers budget initially. If labour had pulled a stunt that crashed the bond market then the MSM would have crucified them
