Don’t be fooled by the grey exterior, inside is a riot of colour and the garden is amazing.

Lovely to see the original features haven't been ripped out

Sadly they are overshadowed by the wallpaper and tv prop feel the owners have created.

That's actually hideous, I'm gobsmacked at all the people saying it's gorgeous. It's like an external recreation of a migraine.

comfortablyfrumpy · 15/10/2022 00:01

I love it.

DPotter · 15/10/2022 00:07

I want it and I want it now!

I'm with you. My head actually hurts. Nice garden, though.

love the colour & what a gorgeous house

It's too much for me to live in but I love the fact it's got colour & personality, it's not bland, safe identikit.

2pinkginsplease · 15/10/2022 00:21

That house gives me the fear! Too busy for me.

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 15/10/2022 00:22

I feel I’ve seen this house some years ago on one of the house programmes on the telly. Can’t remember which one though but I can see Phil Spencer there. The only bit I definitely remember was that it was Hastings.

Furries · 15/10/2022 00:44

I’d have to live in the garden. The thought of all the decorating I’d need to do is making me feel overwhelmed.

I want that giraffe's head in the first picture. It seems to be wearing a curly pink wig?!

Not quite the same, but you can get one made.

Wow. I mean, I’m in the Facebook group Moody Maximalism so it’s fair to say that’s my thing, but I have to be honest I think it might be just too much even for me (I think the pink/blue/red bedroom pushed me over the line, but the creepy statue looming on the stairs doesn’t help!)

Very bold choices.

Lesserspotteddogfish · 15/10/2022 00:55

I’m not a fan of the house decor, but the garden is nice in a wild sort of way, very private and relaxing looking.

Spinstdu · 15/10/2022 01:00

I couldn't live in it but absolutely love it.

I want it too!! I'd put the body in the room behind it!! 😂

if you look carefully though it looks a bit like a swamp. I bet they have massive problems with damp

Yes, me too. It reminds me very strongly of an episode with a arty-farty buyer who was looking at buying for two properties , and he ended up buying a very similar looking house in Hastings.

BruceAndNosh · 15/10/2022 01:19

The massive doll's house beside the kitchen sink must make washing up awkward.

I like bits of it - the butterfly wallpaper on the stairs and landing is pretty - but I would only dare use it in a downstairs loo.

True. It’s probably a mosquito magnet throughout summer.

Nat6999 · 15/10/2022 01:20

It's a lovely house but I would have to have a decorator in before I moved in to strip it back to a blank canvas. For £700k it only has 2 toilets & 1 bathroom, I would want at least another bathroom & a toilet on each floor.

ScattyHattie · 15/10/2022 04:09

It has good period bones, the entrance hallway is particularly nice and love the garden, feel like some more plants and a bridge or jetty over that big pond would be magical.

I like a colourful house but feel there's too many random wallpapers in every room that it's not restful. I'm surprised I didn't mind the chintzy teal bathroom. The panelled hunting lodge room with fun animal heads goes with the house, I would just paint over the jungle looking paper above the fireplace and get some classic furniture & art in there, the disco balls and pastel furry rugs seem very out of place on the zoomed out pic.

RebeccaCloud9 · 15/10/2022 04:27

I'd love to meet the owners

LemonTreeSkies · 15/10/2022 04:58

It’s got headache written all over it.

OrangePumpkinLobelia · 15/10/2022 04:58

Oh I LOVE it!!

hattie43 · 15/10/2022 05:15

It's not my taste but whoever has done it is very talented . Absolutely love the house though . Hastings is a great town aswell .
