Don’t be fooled by the grey exterior, inside is a riot of colour and the garden is amazing.

🤢🤢🤢

I agree its vile, beautiful garden though.

Upwiththelark76 · 15/10/2022 07:32

Too busy for me. But I can see the appeal to others .

willowstar · 15/10/2022 07:34

I love it. What a shame the owners are moving as it is such an expression of them. I particularly like the bathroom and hallway.

Ihatecocomelon · 15/10/2022 07:37

Do want!!!!!

Potat0soup · 15/10/2022 07:44

I love it. It's beautiful. But in someone else's house iyswim. I think it would stress me out. The garden I could happily love in. It seems so out of place for that space though, you'd never know it was there!

Potat0soup · 15/10/2022 07:46

NCAutumn · 15/10/2022 06:04

Once all the furniture is out and the various bits of random shite it'll look very dated, dusty and worn.

The kitchen is rubbish, imagine trying to cook a Christmas dinner in there, there's no work surface.

The bathroom is minging. I can't see the floor of the bathroom, hope it's not carpet 🤢

The hallway with its red ceiling? Ew no.

The garden is awful. Smelly pond and looks like it would be a magnet for flies.

Nope. Not for me whatsoever.

I'm sure there are plenty of grey boxes still available. With plastic green grass gardens

Seaweasel · 15/10/2022 07:50

I love it! Especially the pond. I've got a much more modest version and we have all sorts of lovely wildlife and no more mozzies than anyone else.

Shitfather · 15/10/2022 08:03

I absolutely detest the decor, but adore the owner for putting their mark in their home in such a bold and creative way. I would love to know more about him/her- definitely someone who has lived a life!

SuperCamp · 15/10/2022 08:05

ChiaraRimini · 15/10/2022 06:34

It's very Lawrence Llewelyn Bowen/Changing Rooms. High camp but as a PP
said done on the cheap.

Not all cheap: there is some extremely expensive wallpaper in there!

SuperCamp · 15/10/2022 08:08

£700k is a ridiculous price for a terrace in Hastings.

Only two of the bedrooms have a toilet / bathroom on the same floor.

It will look a mess once the owner takes away all their stuff and a new owner will find it hard to work with what is there, however much you love it.

threegoodthings · 15/10/2022 08:10

I like eclectic interiors but this is ridiculous. I honestly think it's a bit try hard.

Bretonbear · 15/10/2022 08:11

I love it

DragonMovie · 15/10/2022 08:15

I love maximalism but for me there’s way too much that doesn’t work here

CornedBeef451 · 15/10/2022 08:45

I couldn't cope with that at all. I need calm, uncluttered rooms, I think I'd find that very stressful to live in!

EnjoythemoneyJane · 15/10/2022 08:49

It’s not my thing at all and I couldn’t live in it but it makes me want to bloody cheer when I see stuff like this. Such a joyous expression of someone’s creativity and taste - I was smiling the whole time I was looking through the photos. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but hurray for that.

There’s a harmony to the whole thing, and the homeowner is obviously a really confident colourist which is a huge skill. Achieving this effect is much, much harder than just chucking a load of kitschy shit around.

And I imagine the person who owns it would be a lot more fun on a night out than the people on here speculating about damp and mentally moving in ‘classic pieces’!

Drywhitefruitycidergin · 15/10/2022 08:51

I like some of the decor & admire them going for what they love but couldn't live i it.
Price is insane - Hastings prices have gone up hugely in past 3 years but £700k is another level.

Poppins2016 · 15/10/2022 08:54

It's not really my cup of tea, but I appreciate it and rather like it for what it is. I'd want to tone it down if I moved in, though.

Bumpsadaisie · 15/10/2022 09:14

Bit full on for me but greatly prefer it to those dreadful grey-tones minimalist houses!

My Dd is very creative and I think this is the kind of house she'll have when older 🤣

Sidge · 15/10/2022 09:16

Potat0soup · 15/10/2022 07:46

Don’t be so silly, there are plenty of options between that vomitous collection of colour and a grey Hinch box with fake grass.

I think it’s awful. Look beyond the wacky decor and it’s dated and dingy. The bones of the house are fine but it needs pulling into the 21st century with electrics, heating, glazing and plumbing. Interesting to look at but I couldn’t bear to live in it.

TitaniasAss · 15/10/2022 09:20

I don't have the imagination to come up with anything like that but I absolutely love it.

EstellaRijnveld · 15/10/2022 09:29

I think once all the furniture is out then the colours are a bit more subdued. My dd would love the pink kitchen and hallway! If styled differently, the colours can be controlled! I wouldn't want to rip out expensive Vivienne Westwood wallpaper straightaway.

WhatsitWiggle · 15/10/2022 09:51

It's been on the market before, and by the looks of it, on for a while this time round too. Hugely overpriced for the area.

riotlady · 15/10/2022 10:06

I like it to look at but I feel like if I lived there my eyes would need a rest?

In my head the people who lived there are one of the types of families I used to love reading about in books as a kid- two artist parents and 4-6 children all with extravagant themed names

gluenotsoup · 15/10/2022 10:14

That would stress me out to live in, it’s too much. There’s grey, there’s that, and there’s a lot in between, I need in between on the calm end.

TimBoothseyes · 15/10/2022 10:21

I think it's hideous.
