Just that really. I've only ever eaten sweet yoghurt you get from supermarkets. But never plain.

As others have said, we add a spoonful to top fajitas or chilli. I mix it 50/50 with flour and use it to make flatbreads in the frying pan. A similar mix makes a pizza base which takes 20-30 minutes in the oven depending on the size you make the base.

Full fat natural yoghurt or Greek yoghurt- we always have a tub in the fridge, maybe would have it for a pud once or twice a week, and would marinade some chicken with it for a curry (couple of spoons of yog mixed with some sort of curry powder / garam masala / tikka powder or paste, bit of oil and some lemon juice).

For a pudding we put a couple of spoons in a glass or small bowl, then top with whatever we like - fruit, honey, choc chips, maple syrup, berries, Jordan’s crunchy etc - not exactly healthy but much nicer tasting than all but the fanciest flavoured yoghurts. (I don’t mix all these together!! I’d choose between them).

We get through a 2kg tub a week. Kids eat it for breakfast ,take in their lunches and we probably cook dinner or eat with dinner 4 times a week.

I make about 2 litres of plain yogurt every 10 days (use 4 pints of milk). I use my Instant Pot so very easy.

I think I may be getting addicted to fermented products - also make batches of sauerkraut, kimchi and apple cider vinegar.

BarrelOfOtters · 13/10/2022 10:55

Never buy flavoured yoghurt, too sweet for me.

buy full fat Greek.

breakfast with fruit and nuts.
dollopon side of salmon with harissa stirred in
make herby dips with it
marinate chicken

Romyn · 13/10/2022 10:56

It's the only kind we buy. I prefer actual Greek yoghurt really, but usually buy Yeo Valley Greek-style organic. DC get through a tub a week, mostly with fruit. If I'm having some I usually have it on the side as part of a savoury meal, not often as a dessert. I never buy the ultra processed flavoured stuff.

whichwayiwonder · 13/10/2022 10:57

Every morning. I have it with a homemade low carb 'muesli' and chopped apple or berries.

MotherWol · 13/10/2022 11:00

I only eat plain Greek yogurt, switched over because of the sugar content. The full fat kind is delicious, a good source of protein and more filling than low fat yogurts. Yeo Valley used to do a delicious banana custard flavour one which was my only concession to flavoured yog, but now that's been discontinued it's plain for me.

FadedRed · 13/10/2022 11:01

Every day on muesli for breakfast and often in cooking/dips or with fruit for pudding. Full fat Greek style. Don’t buy flavoured yoghurt at all.

Armadillidium · 13/10/2022 11:02

Plain greek yoghurt (not the low fat, full sugar stuff 🤮) with chopped up strawberries mixed in.
So good.

RonSwansonsChair · 13/10/2022 11:04

Everyday for breakfast, with strawberries and blueberries.
Can't eat flavoured yoghurt at all, it's way too sweet and artificial tasting for me.

Glitterspy · 13/10/2022 11:05

Daily either in smoothies, in a yoghurt bowl with fruit and granola, or over a savoury dish like a stew or curry. Full fat organic live plain yoghurt made with milk from a cow.

Makes me laugh seeing people spending a fortune on those nasty chemical Actimels and Yakults when you can just have a spoon of proper live yoghurt instead. We buy ours direct from the local farm, it’s absolutely delicious.

WaddleAway · 13/10/2022 11:07

2-3 times a week I guess. Either with some fruit for breakfast or used in cooking, or a dollop on the side of the plate to cool a spicy meal etc.
The children a bit more often, either with granola for breakfast or with fruit/honey for a dessert.

beakyboo10 · 13/10/2022 11:18

Everyday for breakfast with a drizzle of honey. I buy Morrisons 10% fat greek yoghurt and buy 2 tubs per week.

PaperMonster · 13/10/2022 11:21

i eat Greek yoghurt most days.

user53852098 · 13/10/2022 11:24

I get a 500g tub of Fage greek yogurt most weeks which does about 3-4 servings.

alwayscheery · 13/10/2022 11:43

Every day for breakfast
Fage with raspberries and pomegranate molasses in summer.
With honey and blueberries in the winter.

SirSidneyRuffDiamond · 13/10/2022 11:56

It's the only yogurt I eat and it must be full fat.

ShaunaTheSheep · 13/10/2022 11:57

Always have a large tub of full fat Greek in the fridge:
On muesli or porridge
Mixed with peanut butter as a dip for apple slices
Quick dip mixed with mint sauce
Instead of sour cream on fajitas
With dessert, stewed fruit etc
To cool a curry
Etc

AnneLovesGilbert · 13/10/2022 09:58

Few times a week. I cook with it a lot so buy huge pots of it.

That's interesting. What sort of things do you cook? I use it in marinades but don't use it in cooking

thatstaplerismine · 13/10/2022 12:02

Mix in a spoonful of lemon curd - food of the gods

tresleches · 13/10/2022 12:06

Constantly, but I have a love of sour dairy stuff. I buy huge tubs of full fat Greek yoghurt from Lidl and mix with plain kefir. Daughter eats this with a bit of honey on top.

AlexandraPeppernose · 13/10/2022 12:07

Every day for breakfast

mast0650 · 13/10/2022 12:08

Greek yoghurt is a bit too high in fat for me. WIll have a dollop of it on top of something instead of cream, but don't buy all the time. I prefer "normal" full fat for everyday eating. 3-4% fat rather than 8-10%.

Airymanning · 13/10/2022 12:09

Never
