How often do you eat plain yogurt?

Just that really. I've only ever eaten sweet yoghurt you get from supermarkets. But never plain.

OP you could do worse than spend about a quid on a tub of plain full fat Greek style yogurt from any supermarket to try it for yourself?

Every morning. I make it myself with a yoghurt maker and absolutely love it. Usually I have it on plain granola with chopped up fruit. It's one of the few healthy foods my 10yo is prepared to eat!

Not for ages. I used to eat it every morning but now it makes me feel a bit sick for breakfast.
I can't remember the last time I ate a flavoured yogurt either. DH and the DC love them though.

My teen DS eats tonnes of it with fruit for breakfast and snacks. We've saved a fortune in Fage since he went off to university.

Quite often in cooking, or ‘I’ll add a dash of honey and some muesli to it for brekkie.

I don't eat it for breakfast either, more as a snack. The thought of yogurt for breakfast turns my stomach to be honest, but I don't really eat cold food at mealtimes given the choice, so it's probably that.

I generally add it to marinades and sauces for chicken to go with salads or rice. My favourite is yogurt mixed with harissa, crushed garlic, cumin, salt & pepper and lemon juice. Marinade overnight and then grill 🤤

All the time but only the full fat ones. It's taking out the fat that makes them need to add in all the horrible sweeteners imo.

If I fancy flavoured yoghurt I usually add a bit of honey or jam like my own muller corner.

Have a big tub of plain Greek on the go at all times, for breakfast, pudding for small kids with frozen berries, use it in place of sour cream on food etc

Most days. It's much tastier than sweetened and flavoured yogurt. Love the tang. Most yogurts nowadays are quite bland.

Plain yogurt is also very versatile. You can cook with it, use it to soothe your mouth after too much chilli, make ice-cream with it, strain it to make something a bit like cream cheese, flavour it in so many ways. A spoon of jam, if you like sweet fruity yogurt. A pinch of salt, if you fancy something savoury. Nuts, seeds, fresh fruit, dried fruit, honey, Biscoff spread...

I buy it and put frozen fruit in it, leave it for 10 mins and eat it for breakfast.

I also use it in things like tikka sauce for chicken

And always full-fat. Low-fat is thin and rank. I'd much rather enjoy a smaller amount of something delicious than a larger amount of a miserable version.

In 'creamy' curries, eg chicken tikka style, or just a yogurt curry recipe.

As a sauce/dip, eg tzatiki style dip with cucumber, garlic and mint mixed in.

Also the aforementioned sour cream substitute with burittos etc

For any sort of marinated meat dish so chicken tikka, use as a marinade with spices and garlic mixed in and also as a dip. I do a cheat dip that is yogurt and mint sauce mixed together.

The Lancashire Farm full fat Greek is really good and rivals Lidl deluxe version and Fage, IMO.

Wow I'm really surprised at this.

I feel like I've missed a memo somewhere!

I've bought it a dozen or so times ever to make homemade tzatziki as I don't like the made up ones. Only have that on a really hot day so very rarely! (As it's such a faff to make)

I wouldn't have a clue about using it in cooking!

I occasionally have a flavoured fruit one but then I realise they are so sugary I might as well have chocolate!

Most days. I love natural yogurt.
I find the 'fruit' or any other varieties quite disgusting.
Yogurt is meant to have a slightly sour, sharp taste not sickly sweet or smelling of pretend fruit.
It's like eating a stake made to taste like chocolate!

Maybe once in a 3 months. I only like full fat yogurt, at least 5% fat, but need to watch my calories. I buy whatever yogurt is on offer for DD and sometimes it’s a plain one.
I eat it with stewed fruit or fresh berries.
I’m curious why have you asked OP?
