I came on to say Mel C but I see almost everyone has beaten me to it! I didn’t realise this was a widespread opinion.

Karen carpenter got a mention ? Really. I'm not thrilled with her style of music but OMG, amazing voice. Like wow wow wow.

I used to loathe Amy Winehouse. Caterwhawling. Doesn't phase me now, though, weird !! I am glad to be hugely more tolerant than most PP, even Stevie Nicks isn't bothering me so much nowadays.

Now I've listened (been inspired by this thread to listen) to Mel C, I definitely .... like. She's fine by me. Her songs aren't that special, but she herself sounds fine.

Adele - I really, really hate her voice.

Oh and Whitney Houston. Shouty and awful.

agree. The music and songs themselves haven’t aged well and sound really dated, but Karen can sing.

same with Abba, I don’t like that 70’s style, but can appreciate they are very good at what they do.

Sam Smith's self-indulgent wails. Sounds like a sulking toddler who's not allowed chocolate at bed time. Worst Bond song ever.
