Threads deleted by MNHQ for being trolls

Just wondered how MNHQ figure out someone is a troll?

I always get on the threads too late, but does anyone have any good troll thread stories for me?

I know a couple of trolls irl that have been posting on here for years. I can spot them both a mile away every time.

It's a mother and daughter duo. Both are pretty weird in person. Probably due to all the recreational drugs! One of them has been known to pretend she's a celebrity 👀 very bizarre.

I don't think they do know. I know of PPs who have been banned but they weren't making anything up. It was just an outlandish story, but I know these people in real life. Truth is stranger than fiction sometimes and unfortunately they didn't get believed because of trolls.

Just another attention-seeker. I knew it when they started with "I'm not safe, but my DH hasn't ever done anything". To which I had to say "so you're going to brand your DH unsafe on that basis? There must be a backstory". They must have realised they were going to have to make up the next layer of guff cover themselves with some more details, because nobody would take them seriously.

they must have been loving all that attention with supportive people prepared to post all night. People were even posting their own story to empathise. How vile.

Since this thread I've been so much more sceptical of all posts. There's one currently going on about sexual assault and I'm just not sure. But who am I to call out a post like that when that could be someone reality

You'd be deleted for troll hunting if you did.

( Altghough, there used to be a regular-ish piss troll who would post a similar thread at a similar time on the same day of the week.
I did used to call that one out to warn posters not to share stories before I'd had a chance to report)

But generally if you're not sure, either don't post, of post in quite a circumspect way. Don't share too much of yourself or invest emotionally.
And you can always report??? Mnhq say they don't mind

I just report suspect looking ones and either choose to disengage or MNHQ delete, quite a lot actually as presumably lots of people reporting. As long as you’re not rude, the worst you can be is wrong.

They've had another two threads deleted today. One followed the predictable abusive DH with vague info and the other was about a girlfriend not paying rent this month. Each thread is vague and other telltale signs are blatantly obvious it's the same person.

Quite a few members are gullible enough to post supportive messages or condemnatory ones in support. They don't learn for some reason.

Deleted each time.

^And I think they get off on seeing how many people they can hook as well as how long their threads stay up for.

If people would pay attention and ignore them, they'd likely disappear.
