Tears of The Sun, so awful we didn't get to the end.

Fuwari · 30/09/2022 08:34

Berberian sound studio.
A colleague recommended it to me as we liked a lot of the same films. God it was dire. I kept waiting for it to get better, it didn’t.

MrsGhastlyCrumb · 30/09/2022 08:36

So bad I had to watch it twice, just to make sure: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HellComesstoFrogtown

The recent Princess Diana film, I put it on to watch with my mum when she stayed recently. It was shockingly awful!

I was so excited to watch that from seeing the trailer, and then so disappointed when I actually saw it. KS was good and the clothes were beautiful, but everything else was awful.

Mine is Mulholland Drive. I get quite angry just thinking about it.

FeralWitch · 30/09/2022 08:39

Inception. Wtf.

There Will Be Blood. As far as I could tell it was six months long and only had about eight words in it.

Cats. So bad it backed unwittingly into genius, then straight out the other side back into shite.

apintofrum · 30/09/2022 08:42

Carnage Park

OnTheRunWithMannyMontana · 30/09/2022 08:42

Doomsday. Thought it was going to be an end of the world exciting kinda film. Didn't expect to have to watch Sean Pertwee being eaten alive by Scottish cannibals.

I've not been allowed to pick a film at the cinema since 😂

I think you have to be in the right mood for lynch, which is almost never ha.

I dare anyone to get through the greasy strangler. It's too weird, even for me.

Power of the Dog

It isn't a western and it isn't about dogs. And it has the most weirdly cast leads I've ever seen. Utterly, utterly awful.

Yutes · 30/09/2022 08:46

Noah.

we went to see it at the cinema and I felt quite deflated when we came out

Butterbean9 · 30/09/2022 08:47

The Road.
Nothing happened and it was just depressing.

Zoolander. I didn't find it funny at all, absolute cringe.

FrancescaContini · 30/09/2022 08:47

The Last Temptation of Christ. Agony (pun intended)

thesunwillout · 30/09/2022 08:47

Barnyard

Kids film. The worst thing is it became my daughter's go to film for about a month and god give me strength 😂

The boy cows had udders.

Say no more!

Coffeetree · 30/09/2022 08:48

T.S. Eliot heard English people saying "dear little cats" in baby-talk, and he thought they were saying "jellical".

There have been a few but “ Lost In Translation” was a huge turkey! The title was apt at least as DH & I had no clue what the plot was supposed to be 🤣🤣🤣

Completely agree - actually left the cinema which I never do (even sat through The Final Cut which is a close, more prententious second to Lost in Translation and that's saying something!)

Totally agree. Managed to get to the bit where she eats her jewellery then had to switch off. The music was physically painful and so much puking!

Another abysmal film was the South Park movie. Walked out of the cinema, but to be fair I've never been a fan of South Park.

FromageRouge · 30/09/2022 08:51

Lawnmower man. ( Almost enjoyably bad.)
Evita. (Unwatchable.)

Trying to remember the name of the one with Nic Cage and the space bunnies…. That’s the very worst one I’ve ever seen. So indescribably bad I was transfixed.

TooMuchToDoTooLittleInclination · 30/09/2022 08:51

Moulin Rouge

but to me fair, I haven't seen many (any) of the ones listed above!!

Coffeetree · 30/09/2022 08:52

Putting aside films that are just gross and violent, the worst film I ever saw was Inherent Vice. So much talent and time and money put into absolutely nothing. Don't the people involved realise there's no story and characters?

Matildatoldsuchdreadfullies · 30/09/2022 08:52

An adaptation of my favourite children’s book, The Dark is Rising. Execrable.

Georgeskitchen · 30/09/2022 08:53

The spice Girls movie.
Utter dross

OnTheRunWithMannyMontana · 30/09/2022 08:55

I love Evita and Moulin Rouge and have watched both at least 20 times each 😳

Forgot about the sheer awfulness that was The Three Stooges. Took my eldest to see it at the cinema with some friends when he was 7. They all loved it. I literally wanted to die the whole way through.

Msgrieves · 30/09/2022 08:57

Has nobody else seen one by one? Haha. I can only imagine Rik did it as a favour to someone.

CeratopsofthePharoahs · 30/09/2022 08:57

Birdemic, hands down. It's just so sooo bad. I really can't imagine the director watching the final cut and saying "Yes, this is exactly what I intended!"

@OnTheRunWithMannyMontana I watched half of Doomsday on Netflix and gave up because it was just so awful. Every now and again it comes up in my "Continue Watching" list and nope. Just nope. You can't viciously murder Sean Pertwee like that and expect me to continue watching!

Spencer?
Dreadful film
