What's in your car boot?

Mine needs sorting out big time so thought I'd share:

Kids bucket and spade.
3 bags of out of date crisps.
A dog toy.
Electric tyre pump.
A foil turkey tray (unused)
A fur throw.
Unopened dog food pouch.

A she-wee
Anti bacteria wipes
Blanket
Snacks
Bottled water
Spare wheel
Car jack

Riding boots
Riding hat
Fortnums whicker basket

Nothing at all

A roof top box. The roof top box we crammed stuff in to bring DDs to Uni, all unloaded now. But we booked in to a car park that has such a low ceiling we had to take it off 🙄

Spare wheel and all that mysterious clobber.
Hefty rubber boot liner.
Folded double woollen blanket topped off with two bath sheets so dogs are nice and cosy.

Walking boots that have been used once.
A paper parasol
Two umbrellas
A sun hat
A kite
A covid visor unopened
Various bags
Car gubbins including jump leads

Car stuff. Grass, mud, twigs

It’s very neat and clean : freshly washed dog bed, waterproof blanket, towel , 2 leads, poop bags, wipes.

the back seat however has supermarket bags, dog balls, spare towel , water bowl, water, folding ramp , disposable gloves, cuddly toy………

I dont have jump leads.

Sheep food. I have run out if space in my storage bins and don't want mice to chew through the bags.

Bodies of people that piss me off.

Kidding.

My boot has two levels.

The bottom level is full of car maintenance equipment such as tyre pumps (main, spare and emergency) master gauges (because the inbuilt gauges on the tyre pumps are not accurate), jump leads, tow rope, spare front and rear wiper blades, spare tyre valve caps, first aid kit, gloves, wetwipes, a jumpstarter, warning triangle and a sheet of tarpaulin.

The upper level has nothing in it. And that, to me, is the best bit. There are no kids things in there because we have no kids yet. We're working on that.

Sorting out my mil’s house. She had been living with us since last Christmas until she died last month and it’s heartbreaking going through her house with DH.
So concrete garden animals for the great grandchildren to share. Tool kit to do all the little jobs that didn’t get done because we we were to busy caring for her. Old towels for the vets.
Saucepans to go to charity warehouse.
Oh so much stuff.
Too many empty wine bottles ( ours not hers )
Costa coffee cups as it’s dgd and my treat on a Thursday when I collect her from school ( must put reusable cup in car)

A 4 man tent, numerous shopping bags and a suitcase 😂

if you asked me a few years ago I’d have a shot at the record for the longest post on mumsnet.

But now I have emergency tools in the wheel well including jumper cables, a tyre pump, and a lonnng handled wrench that even I can get an air gun-tightened nut off with. All of those have been used on multiple occasions.

Inside the boot proper I have my grocery bags, a small first aid kit, a jumper and an umbrella.,

And lots and lots of space.

The charging cable and a reusable bag.

A jacket for each DC,
