The Kardashians have reached a new low

Apologies if there ‘s already a thread about this.

Top story on Daily Mail website shows Khloe Kardashian in a hospital bed with her newborn son. Only problem is she used a surrogate. It’s bad enough men trying to erase women but when a woman tries to airbrush the birthing mother out of the picture it makes me feel a bit sick.www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-11238003/Khloe-Kardashian-gives-intimate-look-arrival-baby-son-shes-accompanied-sister-Kim.html

It reminds me of the handmaids tale where the wives pretend to give birth

It’s been documented for years on the show that she had hardly any eggs and has a very low chance of conceiving.

It's been well documented that was a lie. Never believe anything this family say.

MimiSunshine · 22/09/2022 16:08

It’s a hospital labour room. Not famed for many chairs and the ones they do have are uncomfortable but the rooms do come with a bed as standard.

Are you saying she should have sat on an uncomfortable chair just because she hadn’t given birth?

your gripe seems to be that the paper positioned the whole set up as though she’d given birth even though she’s been very clear it was a surrogate but blaming her for that.

Mrsjayy · 22/09/2022 16:11

It's a private hospital in LA of course they could have comfortable chairs to sit on !

Not a word ! they have created a world of their own through "reality" TV everything about them is a lie or fabrication.

BruceAndNosh · 22/09/2022 16:18

Her sister Kim needed to use a surrogate as it was too dangerous for her medically, perhaps Khloe is the same
Kim didn't NEED to have her third and fourth children.

Fizbosshoes · 22/09/2022 16:32

’‘It would be good for IT to be more accessible.’ - Mark Feehily whinging about surrogacy not being cheap or available on demand

He also said he thought more people should "do" surrogacy, as if its a niche/elite sport that's not accessible for those that can't afford it.

PollyAmour · 22/09/2022 16:35

I hope surrogacy doesn't become commonplace in the UK. I was a bit shocked when Robbie Williams and his wife had their last 2 children by surrogate. It just seems such an American thing to do.

I have no issues with surrogacy at all, and would happily carry a child for either of my sisters. If it's done for vanity or convenience, then it's dodgy territory.

Calandor · 22/09/2022 16:40

It's just the bed that's in the baby's hospital room. I doubt it was intentional.

I disagree with surrogacy but I think this is reaching.

Why did she use a surrogate?

She wanted a full sibling for True, but didn't want to have sex with cheating Tristan.

What's the difference in human cost when it's not done for vanity or convenience?

Was it not her egg? Why couldn't she have been sexlessly implanted herself?

CrossStichQueen · 22/09/2022 14:07

There are many reasons women use a surrogate!

But they don't need to.
Nobody needs to rent a womans body and buy a baby. That's just their selfish choice.

So what about my mum, she chose to be a surrogate for my aunt and uncle as they couldn't have children, even after multiple rounds of IVF failed.

My mum (and another aunt) offered and my aunt and uncle accepted. They now have 2 beautiful girls, grown by 2 aunts who love them very much, as an act of love to their sister and her husband. No other reason than love.

This makes no sense.

Unless you’re saying the surrogate had sex with the odious ex boyfriend?

Because that really would be real-life Gilead.

Unfortunately, the ramifications of using women as incubators go further than your family.

What about her?
Nobody has the right to be a parent. They still used other womens bodies to meet their wants. What if either aunt would have died? Or left with life changing injuries? What then your aunt and uncle would be happy because they got what they wanted.

CrossStichQueen · 22/09/2022 17:10

As far as I know they had already fertilised eggs on ice so the cheating dad did not need to have sex with the surrogate he just had to agree the eggs could be used.

Noteverybodylives · 22/09/2022 17:29

I don’t get why MNers are so against surrogacy.

IMO it’s no different than organ donation, giving blood, donating a kidney, semen or egg donations etc.

Most women would give anything to carry their own baby as that is one of the biggest parts of it. So it’s absolute BS when people claim women choose this as the easier option.
But many women cannot carry a baby so their options are adoption or surrogacy.

There was a very good AMA thread about a women who used a surrogate.

GG1986 · 22/09/2022 13:51

I would need to use a surrogate.

Women that have had their wombs removed have to use a surrogate.

Vile lack of compassion, vile opinion.

Wheresmymoneytree · 22/09/2022 17:33

RunningFromInsanity · 22/09/2022 14:16

According to MN, that’s not possible. All surrogates are manipulated or forced into it.
Never mind the women, even some on MN, who say they chose to do it (more than once).

My best friend has offered more than once even though I have never asked. Maybe those that are insisting everyone is forces are just used to bullying people in other aspects of their life because nobody wants to do anything nice for them.

AffIt · 22/09/2022 17:34

The difference being you don't pay for these and there isn't a whole entirely new, separate human created as a result of any of them.

SpinningFloppa · 22/09/2022 17:35

I don’t really see the big deal tbh, some people want their kids to have the same father I don’t blame them

CrossStichQueen · 22/09/2022 17:38

There was a very good AMA thread about a women who used a surrogate.

There is also a good thread by a prostitute, very harrowing and disturbing. But you believe that women selling their bodies is fine as there are a few happy endings. Oh and let's not forget the actual buying of another human.

Noteverybodylives · 22/09/2022 17:38

You don’t pay to have a surrogate either.
You cover the costs of them not being able to work etc. but it all has to be checked that no extra money is being handed over.
