The Kardashians have reached a new low

Apologies if there ‘s already a thread about this.

Top story on Daily Mail website shows Khloe Kardashian in a hospital bed with her newborn son. Only problem is she used a surrogate. It’s bad enough men trying to erase women but when a woman tries to airbrush the birthing mother out of the picture it makes me feel a bit sick.www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-11238003/Khloe-Kardashian-gives-intimate-look-arrival-baby-son-shes-accompanied-sister-Kim.html

I dont see anything wrong with it. It's her child, shes in hospital meeting the baby, I'd use a bed for comfort too. She's obviously not given birth recently as full make up and dressed, so not making out she is the birth mother. The surrogate probably doesn't want to be in the papers with all the publicity either, so may have requested to not be photographed or named.

Her sister Kim needed to use a surrogate as it was too dangerous for her medically, perhaps Khloe is the same.

She didn’t need to use a surrogate.

No one needs to use a surrogate.

Vile practice, vile people.

FatEaredFuck · 22/09/2022 13:43

It's gross.

GroggyLegs · 22/09/2022 13:45

In these completely altruistic cases where its marvellous & empowering for the surrogate who adores giving birth and bringing joy, and absolutely NOT about a commercial exchange of baby for cash, it's often a sister or close friend offering her womb.

So, did another Kardashian sister act as Khloe's surrogate?

What?! There are many reasons women use a surrogate!

CrossStichQueen · 22/09/2022 14:07

There are many reasons women use a surrogate!

But they don't need to.
Nobody needs to rent a womans body and buy a baby. That's just their selfish choice.

kewinsurreylass · 22/09/2022 14:08

Who gives a sh about these people
Never seen anything about them never will
Would not know them if they fell on my head

NonagonInfinityOpensTheDoor · 22/09/2022 14:12

And if a woman WANTS to be a surrogate?

Suprima · 22/09/2022 14:14

OriginalUsername2 · 22/09/2022 13:18

It’s been documented for years on the show that she had hardly any eggs and has a very low chance of conceiving.

That was a lie as she didn’t want kids with Lamar.

She has admitted that she was ‘fake trying’ and Lamar apparently had some fertility issues anyway

CrossStichQueen · 22/09/2022 14:15

And if a woman WANTS to be a surrogate?

What if someone WANTS to sell their organs do we allow that?
Do we allow women to sell their children because they want to? I have 4 DC 2 girls 2 boys would it be OK for me to sell one of them when they were born as the girls were twins so I had 1 more than expected.

And if a woman WANTS to be a surrogate?

According to MN, that’s not possible. All surrogates are manipulated or forced into it.
Never mind the women, even some on MN, who say they chose to do it (more than once).

So a young woman who has had cancer and has reproductive organs removed is never allowed a child then? Of course she could use a surrogate if that was her choice.

While that is very tragic nobody has the right to have a child. Adoption is an option. Buying and selling babies should not be.

It's a tragedy but it doesn't give her the right to rent a human body and take a newborn from its mother. Personal tragedy isn't a free pass to do anything you want no matter the cost elsewhere.

Why do you have to cast around for such an extreme example to justify it if it's so inconsequential?

Some women choose to do it. Some women choose to be sex workers.

They're the ones you hear about. They're usually in pretty advantageous positions that enable them to make it a choice.

The reality is that most women who rent out their wombs or their vaginas, at the risk of all sorts of permanent injuries and changes including death, aren't doing it because it fulfils them and is their dream. You don't want to hear from those women and lucky for you, you won't. But all of them, by choice or not, are dehumanised and erased as "gestational carriers" and "just carriers, that's all", to give just a couple of the phrases used to justify using them as incubators to grow a baby to order - and take it away.

Belladonnamama · 22/09/2022 14:32

They are vile. Buying a womans body for their own gain. It's actually worse than a man paying for sex.

macthekwife · 22/09/2022 15:06

That family are just parasites through and through.

I was at a friends who was watching the episode this features in this morning. The birthing mother wasn’t shown at all (just the baby being born but I expect that’s to respect the woman’s privacy as much as their own.) There was also a conversation between Kim and Khloe where Kim was talking about her experience with a surrogate birth where she said the birthing mother has her own bed and room to
recover in and there is a separate room and bed where she, Kim, could be with the baby. I expect it’s the same set up. Don’t forget they give birth in a very expensive private LA hospital so I’m sure there is no shortage in beds and they haven’t turfed any pregnant or just given birth women out of bed.

How very Handmaids Tale. Vile people.

Fedupmum21 · 22/09/2022 15:23

@ReneBumsWombats im sat in the hospital cafe, drinking a tea to get my baby to move position for my 20 week scan, and almost spat my tea out on my other half after the “dolmio puppet family” comparison. Hilarious! If baby has moved when I go back at 3:30 I have you to thank for the major giggles 🤣🤣🤣

Just calling it like I see it!

Glad you enjoyed and I hope all goes well with the scan.

SpotlessMind88 · 22/09/2022 15:27

I thought the same when i saw it. Like something out of handmaid's tale. At one point she is in a hospital bed in pj's. Knowing them they probably shafted the surrogate out for a photo op. maybe even made pushing and breathing noises as the surrogate was giving birth

But she managed to conceive using her own eggs with a surrogate, so how does that work?

The level of tragedy doesn’t always correspond to how far one should go for a ‘remedy’.

Wouldloveanother · 22/09/2022 15:43

Being pregnant and giving birth seems to be something that can be done by proxy these days, if men are to be believed (and women like Khloe).
‘WE are pregnant’ - Men aplenty on Instagram
‘WE have had one failed attempt of IVF, one miscarriage and we are going again next month for our next round’ - Ollie Locke talking about his surrogate’s miscarriage
’‘It would be good for IT to be more accessible.’ - Mark Feehily whinging about surrogacy not being cheap or available on demand

It’s utterly grim.
