@Romeiswheretheheartis I remember that!

PPPPlease · 19/09/2022 15:07

I was waiting for someone to rush and get the flowers off too.

MenopauseSucks · 19/09/2022 15:08

Those bloody flowers look so undignifiedHmm

stillherenow · 19/09/2022 15:08

Very tall man here !

LikeTearsInRain · 19/09/2022 15:08

BBC is currently blaring out March music over the footage and itv you can only hear the footsteps. Not sure which is more accurate?

BeyondApproach · 19/09/2022 15:08

The closest I got to the Queen was 19 years ago when I was dating a royal guard (he was one of queen's cavalry). I stayed the night with him in Windsor barracks (I think that's what it's called - a barracks?). All his bunk mates or whatever he called them were stationed in Beirut I think so we had the entire dormitory (?) to ourselves. On a bed narrower than a gurney lol. Of course he wasn't supposed to be bringing me in, but he was a good friend of the soldier on duty on the way in. I had never even heard of Windsor Castle at the time (I'm not British) but I believe from recollection that he said that she wasn't in Windsor at the time. It was one of my best dates with him. He was really lovely.

It really does feel final now. The Queens final journey is almost over. I feel a real sense of sadness.
We will never see anyone quite like her again in our lifetime.

BruceAndNosh · 19/09/2022 15:09

I would have thought they would have a designated flower sweeper

travellingfamily · 19/09/2022 15:09

Some of the people in this procession were in the other one as well - members of the royal household. I recognise the talk page who was in the James Bond clip.

purpleme12 · 19/09/2022 15:10

These people living in these houses they're passing have got prime position

spanieleyes · 19/09/2022 15:10

Please tell me the poor bearers don't have to carry the coffin again, they must be worn out! Could they get some others this time!

I do too. I feel like this is it. I feel sad I won't see her on that balcony again.

Notaboutthebass · 19/09/2022 15:11

She needs to be laid to rest now. She's had a good send off but she's been travelled around a lot.

Jellykat · 19/09/2022 15:11

I was wondering that too!

Wheresmymoneytree · 19/09/2022 15:11

The gunshots took me by surprise! Nearly choked on my lunch

Dave20 · 19/09/2022 15:11

I didn’t realise Windsor was so ‘country’.I really thought it was a town next to other towns.

SunflowerOrange · 19/09/2022 15:12

So this long walk where they are now - have they bussed all the parading people over in time for it. Or is it different people's?

ReviewingTheSituation · 19/09/2022 15:12

blobby10 · 19/09/2022 15:05

pagopago I noticed Eugenie leave suddenly too- I think she’s pregnant - thought that when they were looking at the flowers ar balmoral. No idea why I think that btw 😁😁

I thought that when I saw her at one of the events last week.

MelodyPondsMum · 19/09/2022 15:12

Did we ever find out who the women in the procession were?

Jellykat · 19/09/2022 15:12

Now this walk down a country lane feels the epitomy of England.. very serene

Would appreciate from anyone in the know why on BBC you can hear marching band music but none on itv. Is the music being heard/pumped into the footage from elsewhere?

SunflowerOrange · 19/09/2022 15:13

I'm surprised about the countryside too! We go tk legoland a lot and you can see Windsor Castle.... it doesn't feel like country!

diddl · 19/09/2022 15:13

Jellykat · 19/09/2022 15:11

I can't imagine that they'd mind at all!

Sunbird24 · 19/09/2022 15:13

Looks like the band are a little way ahead of the hearse

Different people I believe .I don’t think they could have bussed them all over in time. They were probably stood ready long before the funeral party got there.
