This is a real good guide for all the timings for tomorrow - www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-60617519

The bit at the end with the Lord Chamberlain will be the hardest to watch I think, signaling the end of his service to her, as will the act of separating her from her crown.

I know everyone isn't a royalist but today will be such a sad occasion.

Beautiful service. Wasn't expecting to feel as emotional as I do tbh, God Save the King and then the lone piper set me off.

I bet the bearers are absolutely exhausted, DH was part of the bearer party after a young lad he worked with died whilst serving, the hours put into making sure everything runs perfectly are relentless, DH was both emotionally & physically drained afterwards, so I imagine its even more so with the added knowledge you're being watching by billions.
They've all done her, the family & the U.K. incredibly proud.

Bretonbear · 19/09/2022 12:18

What strange service, no heartwarming tributes or stories or music. Very very dull.

SpotOnMyBot · 19/09/2022 12:18

I thought it was beautiful

My goodness our armed forces have done themselves proud today

BruceAndNosh · 19/09/2022 12:18

So glad it's not raining

the80sweregreat · 19/09/2022 12:18

So bringing the two older Royal children was a ploy to keep some others at the back ! Didn't think of it like this, but they probably wanted to go along and kept with the protocol of it all.
Glad it didn't rain or too hot today as well
Imagine all this in 40 degrees.

What do those in the Abbey do now?

They wait. They’ll be filed out in a similar way to how they were brought in.

some will be taken out other doors onto buses.

My theory - Louis is playing the organ!

i love an organ (ooo er missus) but played only by the great Rick Wakeman!

Yes! That would be great!

I agree. Private family memories should remain just that.

There will be a lot more tears shed when they talk about their own memories.

I think it's only right they do this in private.

LetMeSpeak · 19/09/2022 12:20

I don’t know how people were ok with the monarch being so private back in the 18th/19th century and yet were having to sing a national anthem asking God to protect them. Surprised more uprisings like the French Revolution didn’t happen.

For goodness sake.

There is absolutely nothing to suggest that.

Spectre8 · 19/09/2022 12:20

I would of thought to have heard more of her achievements as queen though

QuebecBagnet · 19/09/2022 12:20

What’s this music they’re marching to now?

FGS it was state funeral, not your Nan’s send off.

SpinCityBlues · 19/09/2022 12:20

With the exception of the admirable bearer party, I'm underwhelmed.

LakieLady · 19/09/2022 12:20

I love this march. Does anyone know what it is, please?

Benefi · 19/09/2022 12:20

What strange service, no heartwarming tributes or stories or music. Very very dull.

It was a state funeral, not an opportunity to listen in to private memories.

SnottyLottie · 19/09/2022 12:20

Beautiful music from the marching band.

Wonder who's making the ham sandwiches?

Mayim · 19/09/2022 12:20

@LeonardoAcropolis Yes, there were representatives of all the world faiths present, though I didn't catch sight of where they were.

the80sweregreat · 19/09/2022 12:20

The muted music playing now is very atmospheric. Same music as at the cenotaph

Wasn't Diana's a state funeral?

I must have missed when BP announced that was the reason? Where did you hear it?

elizaregina · 19/09/2022 12:21

Why not harps and violins and choir singing?

MarshaBradyo · 19/09/2022 12:21

SpinCityBlues · 19/09/2022 12:20

What were you expecting?

BruceAndNosh · 19/09/2022 12:21

I'm sure there's a protocol reason but interesting that most but not all in ceremonial uniform are wearing black armbands
