I'm not sure how pre-emptive it is though when The Firm release a statement like that and all the family going to be with her. It's not just wearing black to mourn, it's just professional.

Well quite, the statement was that she is under medical supervision, it was not a statement about her death.

So yes, it is pre-emptive.
