What is the most beautiful place you've ever been?

  • country, region, city, town -

Just returned recently from Croatia, and we visited Rovinj. We've travelled a fair bit, but Rovinj is hands down the most beautiful little place I've ever been.

I need to ditch the kids with Granny and head back for a child free weekend of wine bars and little patios over the yacht-filled sea.

Stunning.

Anyone else have any places that just felt truly spectacular?

Another vote for Rovinj. Was there in 2016. Loved it.

Just got back from central Croatian coast today; it is very pretty indeed. We stayed 3 days on one of the islands and managed to bag an airbnb right on a tiny harbour; it was the lovliest spot I've ever managed to actually stay right next to.

I think most beautiful places I've been overall are:

  • Cape town
  • Bhutan - we're not actually very adventurous travellers and haven't done anything remotely like this before or since, but it was our belated honeymoon. It's totally stunning.
Chocolateycheesecake · 04/09/2022 21:50

Maldives, Yosemite, Taj Mahal at dawn, Great Wall of Chiba the most jaw-dropping.

But I do love the Pembrokeshire coast and the Lake District in autumn as places that just lift my heart.
