Rudest encounter with a celeb I've ever experienced

But Christian Bale was in London 'itsu' a few months back.

He was buying something but I'd just picked it out of the chilled section. I saw he went to reach out for it at the same time so offered it to him, as I liked something else anyway

His response? 'You've touched it. Why would I want it now?'

I was really shocked at how rude he was!

I kicked Jamie Oliver and his entourage out of a pub once when he was filming. "15". I was the only staff member in and he wanted me to stay open late (we were licenced to) but he was an entitled twat who wouldn't look me in the eye and didn't tip. So I said no and shut the bar up. He wasn't best pleased.

Funny you say that about David Baddiel. My old boss was in the same class as Baddiel at secondary school and said that Baddiel was the least funny one in the entire year. My boss was very distinguished in his professional field advising celebrities, and was always respectful about them so it was uncommon to hear him badmouthing one as he did Baddiel.

I've met Will Self twice, twenty years apart. The first time was professionally for a few days on end, I was starting out and was in a very intimidating professional setting. He was very kind to me and put me at ease and was delightful. When I ran into him again decades later and reminded him of our first meeting, he was also lovely. BUT I don't like at all how he treated his former wife according to what I read, and I can well believe he can be an arsehole.

Richard Carlton (well known Australian reporter RIP). I had the misfortune of sitting next to him at dinner as a 16 year old. He didn't like what I ordered and told me I needed to make more weight conscious decisions when ordering. He changed my calamari to carpaccio, separated me from the only person I knew and put me down all night over my appearance and my family's worth. Disgusting behaviour.
Mal Meninga (rugby league super star). I went to the game and saw him at a nightclub later after a win. I walked over to congratulate him and he put his hand up in my face and said 'Fxxxk off' before I even said anything.

I don't like the sound of christian bale now but I totally recommend the Batman Begins trilogy - it has all of that you mentioned in spades. I can't stand the MCU but Batman Begins trilogy is the best of the superhero type genre movies imo in recent years, followed closely by the new Joker film.

Oh and Heath Ledger blew christain bale well off the screen in the second one (The dark knight)!

No, it was a guy calling himself Ian Cognito. Was immensely rude to me during his set because he’d noticed I didn’t laugh at a rape joke, culminating in him encouraging audience members to beat me up afterwards. I spotted him in the bar and decided he’d be the one to get the (verbal) beating. He did apologise to be fair, but Rhod Gilbert was on the same bill, overheard my conversation, and took the time to come over to me and was very supportive. Lovely man.

I have the biggest crush on Rhod Gilbert, no one gets it, but I don’t get how more people *Don't fancy him 🤣
