On the beach, crying, on my birthday

Happy tears. I have been dreading today. DH died six months ago and life has been hard lately but here I am, on a beach watching my fosterling run back and forth through a rock pool. He's always hated water, usually screams on the beach but today he is so happy. He's 2 and has additional needs. To see him so happy is the best gift ever.

I hope you don't mind me saying this or are upset by it but have you ever considered writing? Whether a blog or a book, not necessarily about grief or fostering but just in general.

There's something about your style of writing that instantly makes me visualise everything you write and feel all the emotion too. You write so honestly but it's not all dark even though there's a lot of sadness it in. There's a strength in it that is captivating.

Maybe someone else can articulate this better than I can but I hope you get the jizt of it.

Aww amazing for you! Happy Birthday to you. It makes me think how often when we look outside to others it can heal us and bring us peace and comfort much more than looking inward to ourselves. You are helping bring peace and safety to this little boy and he’s brought comfort today to you too.
