Post houses from Rightmove with the TV above the mantelpiece so you have to crane your neck, with all the sofas shoved against the walls with acres of space in the middle of the room, with rugs that are too small and coffee tables that are too big, houses with short curtains and plastic houseplants and glossy black fitted kitchens where all the small appliances are red, houses where everything is a shade of grey, houses with candles that have never been burnt and no books anywhere and patterned wallpaper just on one sodding wall as an "accent" and rooms barely big enough for a small double bed but still inexplicably fitted with wardrobes completely covering the longest wall. I will gleefully express my horror at such bad taste and express my doubts that people who live like that can even have a soul and when someone shows up to say "but that's MY house how can you be so cruel!" I'll just cackle like the evil witch that I am.

Love this question - I was thinking about this the other day! I think I'd do a bit of light trolling. I would create a few threads based on the plots from movies. I'd probably start with more niche films where the plot would be quite believable and work my way up to the more popular less believable films. You know the odd 'AIBU for not letting my partner share the wooden plank' or 'My icy sister has cut me out of her life since we were children, WWYD?'. The fun part would be to see if I could write them in a way that they were believable and would get serious responses.

I'd probably reply to threads in the same way too.

I'd ban the word hobby, at least in sentences like 'AIBU to think DH should be able to spend at least part of the weekend with me and the DC? He's out all Saturday and most of Sunday doing his hobby. I can't say what it is because it would be outing ...' This would save most of MN from yelling 'It's cycling!'

Ban any poster who starts a thread anything concerning sex and kids or anything similar that hasn't posted before. It makes me sick mn becomes jerk off fodder. Actually I'd ban anyone who replied on the threads too.

Respond with ‘You thick fucking twat’ on many threads. And also ‘Yes, I DO think you are common, stupid and ignorant and NO, I don’t care that you think I am a complete snob because I have some bloody standards.’

I would also happily spend entire days dealing with those twats who live in cloud cuckoo land (‘If my 16 year old daughter wants to wear stockings and suspenders and and a push up bra and nothing else, not even knickers, to Aldi then she should be applauded for her choices and empowerment as an independent woman and not looked at by other people in a creepy way as if she’s dressed for a porn film - honestly, it’s everyone else’s problem’ and ‘Of course it’s ok to to leave a sleeping three month old baby at home alone while you go to the shops.’)

And then I’d start on the ‘wilfully misunderstanding’ twats who gum up every thread pretending they’ve never heard of perfectly normal things. ‘Beans on toast?! I’ve lived here all my life and never come across this before. Are you on glue?’

Anyone who comments 'FFS it's only February' (or any other month) on a thread about Christmas IN THE CHRISTMAS TOPIC should a) have their 'hide' function disabled and b) should be notified anytime anyone adds a comment to any thread in the Christmas topic.

I would give a 24hr ban to all the posters who feed obvious outrageous troll threads by posting things like:

Hmm
Surely this isn’t for real?
It must be past your bedtime.
etc. etc.

JUST IGNORE THEM AND REPORT!
If they don’t get any encouragement or interaction, they’ll soon get bored and piss off.
