Fluke things that you're oddly proud of?

Thread inspired by a trip to the Health Centre today.

I have good veins and each time I donate blood or have to take a blood test, the HCP always say "Oooh!" and their eyes light up when they take a look at my arm. Every time, I a experience a little glow at this "praise" 😆

Anyone else have things that they aren't necessarily responsible for, that they take some sense of pride in?

Weirdly, I have been told by several people (including a friend) that I have good energy. This confuses me. I don't really know what they mean.

User65412 · 05/08/2022 21:09

I have really long eyelashes. I'm weirdly proud of them.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 05/08/2022 21:12

Everyone always says how I have pianist fingers. They're the only slim part of me so I'll take that 😂

A lady who was giving me a wax told me I had an 'easy shaped labia to wax'. Made me proud for some reason.

I had an ultrasound a few years ago and the sonographer brought another doctor and 3 trainees in to "have a go" on me as I "scanned beautifully". The only time I've been described as beautiful, I could have cried 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Can’t think of anything to add, but love this thread.

NotMyDayJob · 05/08/2022 21:21

Small cervix, allegedly. And small ears. No idea if they are related, I'm 5 foot 8 so not a small person.

squashyhat · 05/08/2022 21:22

I'm 61 and still not really going grey. I do colour my hair but I never get the hard colour/grey line when it grows out - I just notice a few more individual grey hairs. I guess it will happen eventually but meanwhile I'm quite pleased 🙂

Vapeyvapevape · 05/08/2022 21:25

@SharpLily i haven't got wisdom teeth either.
I often get complimented on my cheek bones , I have no control over my bone structure obviously, but it makes me feel proud that I've grown a decent face shape ( makes up for my rubbish nose I guess)

Vapeyvapevape · 05/08/2022 21:27

I've also got a ' lovely tight' cervix 🤷‍♀️

Justme10 · 05/08/2022 21:31

I always get complimented on my how thick my womb lining is 😁

cakewitch · 05/08/2022 21:31

Apparently I have good skin! I've done nothing whatsoever to it to make it so.. a quick sluice round with a bar of dove soap and that's it.

notanaturalmum · 05/08/2022 21:43

When I had IVF the lady told me I had the shiniest cervix she'd ever seen.
I couldn't help feeling proud.
Also my blood type is "be positive" which always makes me chuckle.

yellowdaffodils72 · 05/08/2022 21:46

Apparently I have very firm dense breasts for a 50 year old, said by a female consultant during a breast examination.
The plus side is they will stay pert due to having a lot of tissue as opposed to fat, but the downside is it would be very difficult to find a lump

Spudlet · 05/08/2022 21:48

I sometimes want to compliment my clients on their easy to access scapulae - some wing out really easily so I can massage the underlying muscle. It’s a totally individual thing, some bodies do it and others don’t.

I generally hold back though in case clients think I am weird 😂 At least until they’ve seen me a few times, anyway!

RunningFromInsanity · 05/08/2022 21:50

Apparently I have exceptional low frequency hearing.

Egghead68 · 05/08/2022 21:53

I have a “beautiful” cholesterol ratio

CountFoscoslittlewhitemice · 05/08/2022 21:54

Apparently I have lovely strong teeth and pianists hands.
I was also proud of my ' exceptionally long and wiggly colon', until someone pointed out that it's not necessarily a good thing.

hotfroth · 05/08/2022 21:55

A physio was once attaching me to a tens machine to treat a wrist injury and she was having trouble getting the pads in the right place. My nerves are apparently not where they are anatomically supposed to be.

"Ooh, you are wired up funny!" she said.

Explains a lot Grin

Wouldloveanother · 05/08/2022 21:56

I have lovely straight white teeth and not a single filling! no braces, no whitening, and i drink a lot of pop.

i am tall but have small feet for my height (5.5). Which means I don’t have the tall girl problem of finding nice flattering shoes!

BakedTattie · 05/08/2022 21:57

I’ve been told a lot by friends that I give really good advice and I actually listen to them.

A580Hojas · 05/08/2022 21:57

I'm 59 and have no wrinkles. It's purely genes, being fat and a lifetime of avoiding sunbathing.

billycorn · 05/08/2022 21:59

I bet you drink loads of water op. Generally makes taking blood ALOT easier

YesIReallyDoLikeRootBeer · 05/08/2022 22:00

I have very thick hair and when I get my hair cut they always mention my beautiful, thick hair.

When I was in school one of the popular girls told me she loved my eyebrows (and she meant it, she was not making fun of me). Apparently I had eyebrows that naturally grew in a way that other girls had to pluck and what not to attain LOL. I'm almost 55 and still feel good when I think that that popular girl loved my eyebrows LOL

Forgothowmuchlhatehomeschoolin · 05/08/2022 22:00

Told recently by the optician my vision is better than 20/20!
Buzzing!!
