‘Strange’ smells you like.

Hi, I hope this thread is in the right place. I suppose I’m being a bit nosey, but I just wondered what smells people like that may be considered strange?

I really like the faint smell of chlorine on your skin when you’ve been swimming, and that earthy smell from when it has rained on a hot day.

Wet dogs 🐶

The garage. All the tyres & the grease 😂

And puppies.

Creosote and petrol. I've always loved creosote but you don't seem to smell it anywhere any more.

Creosote, petrol and the smell of breweries when they are brewing (or doing something with hops? I don’t know exactly but growing up near a brewery you’d often get a big whiff and all the old men would say “they’re brewing the day” )

also spent matches and the smell of popped party poppers

Big fat old fashioned cigars

French train lines in the summer (outside, not the sweaty bodies inside)
rain on certain surfaces
small babies
Puppies paws & ears
Horses
mown grass
tar/melting roads
new beach toys
struck match
bonfires
fireworks
crayons, especially if they've been sitting in the sun

...god I could go on, I guess I'm more of a 'smeller' than I realised 🤣.

Ooh yeah Regal king size…much favoured brand of many aunts and uncles….I hate cigarettes and anti smoking but i I can pick out a Regal king size being smoked from 30 feet away 😂 reminds me of childhood.

Molasses- I can smell it when I go through the Blackwall tunnel as there's a dog food factory nearby that uses it.

Not a smell but I used to love the taste of my Nan's knitting needles. I used to suck the ends of them.
