The outside temp is set to remain around 25 overnight.

bedrooms feel like ovens. Besides multiple fans and cool sheets/towels as covers, how are you keeping cool in the bedrooms tonight?!

I slept in the garden on my sunlounger.
I didn't mean to. One minute it was around 10 and I was reading my kindle, the next it was 05.30 this morning.
Highly recommended.

I slept fine last night tbh, just had a fan next to us.

It's what lots of people do in hot countries. Even have a bed frame outside to sleep on.

I've given up on the one upstairs as it was 33 at 9pm last night, so slept downstairs

I usually have problems sleeping when it's hot but recently I have a cool shower, lie on a towl on the bed, south facing window wide open, been closed all day, and I have no problen sleeping, even most of me under a duvet!

@SausagePourHomme My DH, in the ME often sleeps outside, I'm going to do the same again tonight.

Why do you have one?

The only person I’ve known to have an electric fan was very elderly and bedbound. I can’t ever recall seeing a fan in any friends or families homes other than that. It’s never occurred to me to buy one, there would be nowhere to put one in my bedroom, and I would have nowhere to store one the other 363 days of the year.

not to mention trying to reduce the electricity bill

so many people on this thread alone have fans, it’s odd that you’d tell your kids don’t bother complaining when there’s an easy fix.

summers regularly have had temps in the 20s for the last few years so it’s worth it for me, I don’t only crack it out when it gets ridiculous.

oh and oh the radio today they said they cost 1p an hour to run. It’s nothing like the cost of heating

I've got an ice cold 'hot water' bottle on my feet. Thin sheet-ie empty duvet cover. Fan etc.

I'm also struggling with covid so I'm exhausted.
