Is it actually hot elsewhere in England?

It's raining here (Devon). And has been cloudy all morning.

Maybe it will pick up a bit later.

North Somerset 26 and drizzling. We were forecast blue skies and 35 degrees,. It was hotter over the weekend than it is now.

Currently 36 in south london

My car registered 41 degrees! But then went down to 37. That was in Cambridgeshire.

35 degrees right now in Essex and rising to a threatened 37 which is two degrees lower than originally forecast.

South Cornwall, a mile or so from the Tamar. Currently 35c in my garden. Yes, in the shade.

In London and very warm. Like step off a plane wave of heat. But nothing unmanageable. I’m incredibly fortunate to have air conditioned office and a cool house though.

Hot and no rain in this part of Devon

Just clicked from 35 to 36 degrees in Mid Suffolk.

Sitting in my (new to me) office in the shady half of the house, listening to the digger 2 houses down starting the build project. Feeling sorry for the workman in the greenhouse-like glass cab.

Currently 34 on Suffolk/Cambs border.

There’s a breeze which is taking the edge off. My office has no air con but it’s an old building and north facing so pretty cool - bloody nightmare to heat in the winter!

Like an oven outside- Hot, dryish heat. 34 degrees C on app ( Bristol Area) rising to 36.

Perfect drying day for laundry 🧺 Water put out for wild animals feels like bath water though.

It's 31 in bolton right now ,34 by 3pm apparently.

it's 35 degrees in my bedroom. it's brutal

A light breeze has got up and I can see a cloud or two. Temp has dropped to 36/96.

Shut all curtains and windows and it’s bearable atm!

38 here in Yorkshire. No breeze, we're inside and it's ok.

I don’t think Geographically we are that far apart- but 36 degs C here ( North Somerset/ South Gloucestershire)

36 in Manchester! WFH in our nice cool house and had a sneaky dip in the paddling pool at lunch so I'm happy although thinking of the DC in school and nursery today! Plan is water fights all day so fingers crossed they survive!

36 where I am, at 2pm so still a couple of hours of peak heat 🥵

I've just checked temperature in the garden and it's 28c. South coast.

There is a slight breeze but I'm in my north facing dining room with the cat and it's pretty comfortable in here with the doors open out to the garden.

There is an electric fan upstairs though if I do get too hot.

will it make 40 degs C in UK?
A pp has already mentioned 40. We were at 38 an hour ago and I think other pps have mentioned 38 and 39.

Somerset, 33 degrees. We had about 30 seconds of rain.

I'm in East Staffordshire and we are clear skies and 39°c
