Is anyone actually enjoying this weather?

I seem to be avoiding going out and am spending a lot of time in my cool basement rooms. It's too hot to sit in the garden or go anywhere (apart from go in my air-conned car to the gym swimming pool or my mate's swimming pool).

I might make an exception at the weekend to go down the pub (one with a garden) in the evenings.

Loving it, every second.

My days off are falling on the hottest days so I'm out gardening and just enjoying life

Nope I hate it. Being of a certain age I generate enough of my own heat, and this isn't helping one bit. Gave in and bought an air-conditioner this morning, and am now basking in it's lovely coolness.

Yes I love it. My mood has been so much better during the lovely weather. I love walking the dog early on a morning without having to put 6 layers on.

The only time it bothers me is at night as I like to be cool when sleeping. Having said that I’ve managed ok with a fan this summer.

I can understand it must be miserable for those living in a flat however. I lived in one while I was at uni and it was miserable when it was hot. So stuffy and I had a permanent headache. I used to find any excuse to get outside.

I wasn't enjoying it earlier this week when it was 28/29, but it's a breezy 23 at the moment and it's really lovely.

I enjoy it until I have to blow dry my hair. I can't leave it to dry naturally as it's very fine and goes wavy and fluffy if I don't. It's quite long at the moment so does take longer to style.

I washed it this morning and left it for about 40 mins to blow dry it at 7.15am. I thought I was going to melt.

Absolutely HATE it. I’m so unhappy and am impatiently awaiting better (cooler) weather.

I love it, it's glorious! I always feel happier in the sun and warm weather, I have been wearing pretty floaty summer dresses and making the most of it while I can, especially as we're not going away this year!

I hate it. My ideal temps are 19-21 max.

BUT I console myself that Winter will come back around and it will be nice and looong.

Yes, I live by the beach and this is when it's the perfect place to live, feels like a holiday

Given I know I'm going to be perishing cold all winter because I can't afford to have the heating on then yes. In other circumstances no.

I love it. Would always choose heat. Can’t bear being cold.

Our offices overlook a public park and this afternoon two women arrived and rolled out sheets of tinfoil which they have now been laying on for a good 3 hours in tiny bikinis!!!! I mean are some people actually stupid??????! That isn't sunbathing that's extremely dangerous. No doubt they'll be the ones adding to the current NHS pressures when they show up at A&E tonight with severe burns and heatstroke!

I love it. Having lived in Darwin for a while, where it constantly pushed 40 degrees, this is mild!

I absolutely hate it. Can't stand being hot,I'm always hot and sweaty all year round,even in the depths of winter. Work has been too hot,can't sleep at night,never know what to wear.
I don't mind going away on holiday when I can spend the day in the pool but I can't live a normal life in this ridiculous weather!
Can't wait for autumn followed by a hopefully nice cold winter!

Hate it. We have a garden but it doesn't get shade until 3ish. We're in a city so not much of a breeze. All of our bedrooms are roasting hot and none of us are sleeping well. BF in this heat particularly gross. I just want not to be sweating all the time.

I do wonder if everyone complaining about the heat also complains about the months of endless grey skies and rain we usually have (like last summer).

No! I'm not a summer sort of person.
