Which singer/act or band do you regret never having seen perform live?

Is there a band or singer you'd love to have seen live but it just never happened, and it's unlikely you ever will see them now? Maybe the artist doesn't tour any more, they've passed away etc or you just don't think you'll ever get the chance.

I would love to have seen Stevie Nicks perform live. Her voice is captivating.

I got offered a ticket for £20 to see Prince at a festival, but turned it down because I was seeing Pulp the same day. Still kicking myself.

R.E.M. Michael Stipe and Mike Mills have played some of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard.

@Fifthtimelucky Lucky beggar!

It was 1980. I was in the front row and managed to get one of the plectrums they threw into the crowd. I think I've still got it somewhere!

Britney Spears when she was young. I really hope once she's more settled in her life she'll do more shows in the UK but I regret not seeing her in the early 2000s

Talking Heads, Johnny Cash and Bowie

Have seen quite a few of other people's wishlist though.

Nirvana - had tickets but Kurt shot himself just before, kept the tickets as a momento.

Elvis - the 1968 comeback special.

Prince
Wham/George Michael

And I’m gutted that I’ll never see Depeche Mode again. Or the Foos

ButNotTonight20 · 12/07/2022 22:56

Depeche mode before Alan Wilder left.

Tears for fears when touring songs from the big chair

Elvis - the 1968 comeback special.

I used to think this but then one drunken Boxing Day we watched the DVD set with all the extras and outtakes and I am unsure now whether I would have enjoyed it. On the one hand you would have got all the onstage banter and tomfoolery, but on the other it had potential to be lots of waiting around.
But still.....it's a masterpiece.
