Which singer/act or band do you regret never having seen perform live?

Is there a band or singer you'd love to have seen live but it just never happened, and it's unlikely you ever will see them now? Maybe the artist doesn't tour any more, they've passed away etc or you just don't think you'll ever get the chance.

I would love to have seen Stevie Nicks perform live. Her voice is captivating.

Queen
Police

ZarquonsSandals · 12/07/2022 17:09

Mark Lanegan. I chickened out of going on my own to a gig he did a couple of years ago. He died earlier this year. :(

IANAL · 12/07/2022 17:09

The Smiths, always and forever

Kenneldogsrock · 12/07/2022 17:10

George Michael - definitely him.

Funkyslippers · 12/07/2022 17:10

Queen with Freddie. I just wasn't in to them when I was a kid. Saw them with Adam though, amazing.

On the plus side, I've seen INXS and The Prodigy

PatsyJStone · 12/07/2022 17:11

ABBA
Simon & Garfunkel

Nope the new ABBA thing is NOT the same

Onesmallstepforaman · 12/07/2022 17:11

Sex pistols
Famines
Ian Dury and the Blockheads
Buzzcocks

Saw a lot of bands, but wish I'd seen the above.
Worst were GnR at Tottenham recently. 90 minutes late and Axl was utter shite

DisplayPurposesOnly · 12/07/2022 17:13

Barbra Streisand
Talking Heads (specifically Stop Making Sense)

PatsyJStone · 12/07/2022 17:15

And Guns & Roses in the beginning.

Seen them a few years ago but nothing like what they would've been like thirty years ago. Any big USA gig or Donnington Monsters of Rock

Gingernaut · 12/07/2022 17:15

Lee Evans

Cocolapew · 12/07/2022 17:16

Oh yes Stop Making Sense for me too.

bigTillyMint · 12/07/2022 17:16

The Beatles and John (too young)
Freddie in Queen - was into indie scene and disco/soul/funk/RnB as a teen, and now, but he was iconic

MollyRover · 12/07/2022 17:16

Prince, David Bowie and Beastie Boys (Adam Yauch)

TightPants · 12/07/2022 17:23

James Brown
Iggy & the Stooges

Bruce Springsteen. I doubt he will tour uk or Europe again, and unlikely I’d go to thr states, I’d love to see him live.

He's already announced a European Tour for next summer. UK dates yet to be announced but they are definitely happening!

sammylady37 · 12/07/2022 17:28

Tina Turner
Queen
Pavarotti

StopStartStop · 12/07/2022 17:39

I saw Queen, Mick Ronson, Prince, Bowie, Iggy and the Stooges (from the 'missed' posts above).

Missed Vinegar Joe (Robert Palmer, I saw Elkie Brooks a couple of times), Velvet Underground, Janis Joplin.

Didn't put myself out to see, and regret it...Foo Fighters.

PurpleSky300 · 12/07/2022 17:40

Paul Simon. He came to the UK on his farewell tour and I couldn't afford the ticket prices. I've been wishing I'd gone ever since.

WatermelonSugarSigh · 12/07/2022 17:43

Prince
Amy Winehouse

Zoom101 · 12/07/2022 17:47

ABBA but I’ve just been to see ABBA Voyage so that’s the closest I’ll get!

The Smiths

Actually yes, me too. Those were the days before Morrisey wasn't such a colossal bell-end.

notprincehamlet · 12/07/2022 17:57

The Smiths - had tickets for Llandudno in 1986 but it was cancelled. Never got over the disappointment!

Cluckycluck · 12/07/2022 17:58

Billy Joel

To all of you saying Springsteen definitely get tickets booked when he does come back to the UK. I've been many a time and he is just fantastic. He's the only person I would happily see time and time again.

The prodigy

I'm seeing them again this Friday though I fear it won't quite be the same. Reviews are good though, get a ticket!! Ticketmaster had some resales last week

Otis Redding
