Which singer/act or band do you regret never having seen perform live?

Is there a band or singer you'd love to have seen live but it just never happened, and it's unlikely you ever will see them now? Maybe the artist doesn't tour any more, they've passed away etc or you just don't think you'll ever get the chance.

I would love to have seen Stevie Nicks perform live. Her voice is captivating.

Queen, definitely. Specifically, I want to go to that Live Aid concert in 1985.

Pavarotti

Igotmylipstickon · 12/07/2022 16:25

@abblie If you can get to Dublin in September, Garth Brooks is playing 5 nights.

Diplidocus4 · 12/07/2022 16:26

I went to Live Aid , and Queen at Wembley in 1986 , with the Queen concert particularly it’s only when you watch it back now that you realise how good it was , at the time I think I was a bit underwhelmed .

Freddie Mercury definitely. And the Ramones.

I agree with Freddie Mercury.

I've seen the Ramones!

Alannis Morrisette in 1995 was playing a tiny venue in Glasgow but I couldn't persuade my mates to go with me and didn't want to go on my own. About a month later her career took off with "Ironic".

I did see Bowie, but in the 80s. I wish I’d seen him as Ziggy Stardust.

Good to know re Springsteen tour though! Would love to see him live.

Queen with Freddie
INXS - I actually had a ticket to see them, but it turned out my mate had bought them from some dodgy 'agent' and they weren't valid. Was gutted; never got the chance to see them again.
Wham - I saw George solo twice, (amazing!), but was too young for Wham. My sister went to the final gig at Wembley - I was seething with envy!

LarkspurLane · 12/07/2022 16:49

Neil Diamond, missed him by a whisker and will never see him now.
My first ever concert was Wham! So glad to have seen GM.

JunieBabes · 12/07/2022 16:50

Prince

Anndie · 12/07/2022 16:54

Simon and Garfunkel. I had the chance to see them in 1982, but was over 8 months pregnant at the time, and it involved a fair bit of travelling. Did manage to see Paul Simon on his Graceland tour a few years later, 'though.

Oh, and Leonard Cohen.

Bruce Springsteen. I doubt he will tour uk or Europe again, and unlikely I’d go to thr states, I’d love to see him live.

Bruce has announced a tour for 2023. Covers Spain and Ireland. Don't think there was anything in the UK. Smile
