Which singer/act or band do you regret never having seen perform live?

Is there a band or singer you'd love to have seen live but it just never happened, and it's unlikely you ever will see them now? Maybe the artist doesn't tour any more, they've passed away etc or you just don't think you'll ever get the chance.

I would love to have seen Stevie Nicks perform live. Her voice is captivating.

Now that's I'm ancient , probably Dire Straits but before Brother In Arms

My DSis was a huge fan , went to their early gigs , but of course , I didn't appreciate them then.

Tina Turner.

I'm just a but too young to have seen the phenomenal performances of the 80s and 90s. Seems like a golden age for music and 'putting on a show'.

The main one is The Beatles. Big big fan and really wish I had got to see them.

I did see Paul McCartney & Wings and loved that.

Also Queen with Freddie Mercury. Saw them with Adam Lambert and thought they were brilliant but would love to have seen Freddie.

I was lucky enough to see George Michael twice (paid a fortune for the tickets) and he was amazing

Michael Jackson

I'm 61 and have seen pretty much everybody. Saw Queen with Fred 10 times from 1977 in Bristol Hippodrome to Live Aid.
It would have to be The Beatles for me. I think that if it hadn't been for that evil bastard Mark Chapman they might have done Live Aid.
Amy Winehouse
The big one for me is Ella Fitzgerald. Best female singer ever IMO and she was still performing in the 80s. I don't think I really knew who she was then.

Queen with Freddie. I just wasn't in to them when I was a kid. Saw them with Adam though, amazing.

On the plus side, I've seen INXS and The Prodigy

Same here. And I was surprised at how good Adam is he's done such a good job without trying to be Freddie.

Linkin Park 😪

MenaiMna · 12/07/2022 18:51

Talking Heads!

Furrbabymama1987 · 12/07/2022 18:53

The Beatles. Sadly they, and George Harrison were way before my time.

Giggorata · 12/07/2022 19:01

I've seen most of those I wanted to, including the Beatles, Stones, Floyd, Yes and Jimi.

I think the Cream, The Nice, Janis Joplin, Rush and Jefferson Airplane.

Giggorata · 12/07/2022 19:01

not the Cream, just Cream 🙄

pogostickplastique · 12/07/2022 19:02

Queen & Oasis

So my job was working with artists on tour.

there’s a few I’d of loved to of worked with. One being Michael Jackson. (not actually him. But his team. Some of whom I know and highly admire!!) But because his production team and money was phenomenal!

Elton John and I’d love to of worked with Tina turner!

queenrollo · 12/07/2022 19:04

David Bowie
Faith No More - had tickets but trains were scheduled not be running and it made getting there impossible so I had to sell the tickets on.
Maria Callas - such an amazing voice would have loved to experience that live.

NellesVilla · 12/07/2022 19:06

MJ and the Spice Girls. And Britney at her peak. If I’d been born earlier, then Queen with FM and U2.

xsquared · 12/07/2022 19:07

George Michael
Kate Bush - Saw Cloudbusting years later instead.

Doremisofarsogood · 12/07/2022 19:15

Pulp, the Prodigy, Nirvana

SilentHedges · 12/07/2022 19:41

No massive regrets, I saw a lot of gigs.

It would have been Roxy Music, but they're having what I expect is their final tour and I'm seeing them in October.

Nirvana, I had tickets and Kurt Cobain sadly passed away just before the gig.

Rockbird · 12/07/2022 19:50

@Fifthtimelucky Lucky beggar!

Darnley · 12/07/2022 19:59

U2 will tour again, don't miss out! It's hard getting tickets but it'll be one of the best nights of your life even now I promise. They're still blistering on tour!

PolaDeVeboise · 12/07/2022 20:15

Fred and John Lennon. Luckily, saw George live 4 times.
