The book says it's the emission control light - we assumed it was the engine management light but not according to the book. We did have the air con re-done earlier in the week though so wondering if the two are linked. It would be nice if they were so that at least there would be an answer!

Could just be a bad sensor. Hopefully not expensive! Do believe it's still safe to use the car though 😊

AlviarinAesSedai · 22/07/2022 21:06

Welcome twistyizzy.

PickAChew · 23/07/2022 00:03

I'm sort of from Hull, too. My family is but I managed to be born down south 🙄😂

Someaddedsugar · 23/07/2022 07:00

Pleased to here it's safe to use the car @QuestionableMouse - it's off to get the code read at 9am and while we hadn't planned to go far I really need to do the food shopping 😂. Thank you for the reassurance!

Hope you're feeling better today?

@PickAChew that made me laugh 😂

Do you do a lot of town and short journeys? Could just need a blast out

BHF = ok but I would not go back tbh

Someaddedsugar · 23/07/2022 17:39

Mainly short journeys so possibly could be just in need of a good run.

The garage wasn't open due to covid so will have to try on Monday. Not a fan of cars when they go wrong 😂.

That's a shame re BHF @lifelongfrugaleer, especially if you've travelled for a bit to get there. Was it busy?

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/07/2022 17:55

no not really given they have 183 tickets when I booked.
the kids enjoyed most of it, some was shut off, I think it’s a bit steep charging adults the same and the cafe was £££ although nice.
good to try, won’t rush back

definitely take it for a blast out, couple of miles along a dual carriageway

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/07/2022 17:56

We all traveled 45 minutes as it’s central for us to meet

QuestionableMouse · 23/07/2022 19:31

Probably should be obvious but what's BHF? My brain is very tired today 😂😴😂

Thank you! Not somewhere I've visited. 😁

Had a day out to Kirkleatham Museum planned for Tue, so I'm hoping that I feel better by then!

Any recommendations for really good play parks? Nephews love them!

AlviarinAesSedai · 23/07/2022 20:01

Raby playground looks amazing. Chester le Street park is good for under 5’s and has Splash pad, which also looks amazing. It also has skate park and park for older children and river(feeding ducks/swans)pigeons/seagulls.* *Also cute sort of Alice in Wonderland sculpture and carved animals sculptures. And massive green space to run around.
Can you tell I use to go often 😆.

QuestionableMouse · 23/07/2022 20:28

Thank you! Yep, planning a trip to Raby Castle. Will do one to Chester le Street too, thanks 😁

AlviarinAesSedai · 25/07/2022 15:17

I’ve changed my mind, it can stop raining now. ☔️

Someaddedsugar · 25/07/2022 15:29

I wasn't expecting rain like this!! It's bouncing down the street here!

RampantIvy · 25/07/2022 15:35

I sent it up from Yorkshire for you 😀
We had rain all day yesterday

AlviarinAesSedai · 25/07/2022 16:04

You are too kind RampantIvy.
The ground is so dry, it’s just pooling. Top layer a bit soggy.

MsMarvellous · 25/07/2022 16:21

I delayed our dog vet appointment from last week because I thought it was too hot to be out. Confused

That's my look of regret 😭

QuestionableMouse · 25/07/2022 19:31

Had a gorgeous rainbow tonight! I got absolutely soaked though, was out with the dog 🤔🤣

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 25/07/2022 19:46

@QuestionableMouse are you talking super duper all singing, all dancing parks or do they like adventures and more simple things?

Wolsingham has a lovely park and you can make a day of it there going to the picnic area by the river and plodging, having cake in the cafe and a play in the park.

If the like hunting for secret playgrounds then there is one behind a terrace of houses in my village that hardly anyone knows about. It was an odd bit of funding really but hey ho. The park itself just has a few bits, swing, seesaw, one of those vomit inducing twirly seats but it also has a zip line. There is the week known playground on the old railway lines at the main part of the village so you can play there then walk the mile or so up to the secret playground and then play there too and feel all smug about finding it and then walk back.

lifelongfrugaleer · 26/07/2022 07:22

I’m done with the rain now thanks

hardwick park and wynard woodland are good run about places with play parks

i will think on to others my dc liked

AlviarinAesSedai · 26/07/2022 09:15

Whiskeypowers · 26/07/2022 11:21
