So sad for her family. What a life lived though and what a legacy she leaves.

RIP fabulous lady.

viques · 28/06/2022 21:08

I am so sorry for her family, especially her children, they have had to be so brave and put on a public face while knowing what was coming.

Cheeseandlobster · 28/06/2022 21:08

Oh how very sad for her family. She was so brave and too young

DramaAlpaca · 28/06/2022 21:08

So sad, RIP Deborah.

Neverendingdust · 28/06/2022 21:11

Terribly sad but also bittersweet as she is no longer suffering that miserable painful existence she had towards the end. Her family and friends will be devastated but relieved also.

What an incredible legacy to leave behind. I hope her story continues to live on and raise more awareness.

Dobbysgotthesocks · 28/06/2022 21:12

So so sad. She was such an incredible lady and has left behind such a legacy. Her campaigning and raising awareness without a doubt will have saved lives.

I was thinking just a couple of hours ago I wonder how she's doing today. What an amazing lady x

I was too, and hoping so much she would see her publication day.

MassiveSalad22 · 28/06/2022 21:13

So terrible for her children. What a legacy though.

pbj · 28/06/2022 21:14

very sad, what an incredible woman. May you RIP Dame Deborah.

Wolfiefan · 28/06/2022 21:14

An amazing lady and she’s done so very much for others whilst being unwell herself. My thoughts are with her family and friends.

Squiff70 · 28/06/2022 21:14

I had the breaking news on my phone too. Such a sad end for a brave and truly inspirational lady. Should I ever have such news myself, I pray I'd have 10% of the courage and resilience that Dame Deborah showed, and with such grace too.

She saved so many lives and that makes her a hero(ine). I hope she had a peaceful release.

I was thinking the same as I've seen someone die from cancer. It absolutely is bitter sweet. I'm so glad her family were able to be by her side, in these post-covid times.

LetsPlayShadowlands · 28/06/2022 21:15

It's very sad, especially knowing how afraid she was of dying. Her honesty, openess was admirable. She'll be so missed. It's just so unfair that good people have to go, when they have so much to give. I hope her kids will be OK.

anybloodyname · 28/06/2022 21:15

RIP

Cactuslove · 28/06/2022 21:16

She was so brave facing something so frightening. I really do hope there's somewhere better after this.

moggiek · 28/06/2022 21:17

What a brave, inspirational woman. Rest in peace, Deborah.

JuneJubilee · 28/06/2022 21:17

It's so sad when genuinely good people die, especially so young & with children.

much love to her family & friends 🌸

BOOTS52PollyPrissyPants · 28/06/2022 21:19

Aw poor lady and her lovely family but she lived life to the full and great she was out and about the past few weeks. Very very sad but she has highlighted a big health issue for all and she will be remembered for that and her strength and was a truly beautiful woman.

CloseYourMouthLynn · 28/06/2022 21:20

My darling 41 big brother died of exactly this last Thursday, his battle was very similar. While his death won't make make front page news, I hope both he and Deborah herald a greater awareness of bowel cancer symptoms.

This 100% . Though I don't think I would ever achieve 1% of the bravery and positivity she managed .
