Favourite Beatles song

This is off the back of a baby name thread. Someone said prudence and a poster said dear prudence is their favourite Beatles song. I've had it on repeat since, it's not one I'd listened to much before.

I'd normally say here there and everywhere is my favourite.

Didn’t one of the Gallagher brothers once say, in answer to this question, “your favourite Beatle song is whichever one you’re listening to.” Pretty accurate!

Let it be, as someone else said, is always a stop
me in my tracks song. I also love Aretha Franklin’s version 😍

That's very true!!

I've definitely got more to discover, I thought I'd heard pretty much all of them, but there's some titles here I don't recognise.... some more favourites to be found!!

Thank you User678040. I've made a list from the ones on here I've never heard and me & Alexa are working our way through it! I'm also watching Paul at Glastonbury.

I love Crowded House and can definitely hear similarities. Beatles could be my new obsession (after rediscovering Beach Boys!). Yes I'm late to the party.....!

I think it stems back to my parents, esp my dad, not being fans so they were never played when I was growing up. Hey, it's never too late!

The Beach Boys are also great, @Funkyslippers. Paul and Brian Wilson are great friends and they were influencing each other in the 60s. Pet Sounds was the Beach Boys’ Sergeant Pepper. But the Beatles were the reason that anyone in Crowded House or David Grohl, or even Bruce Springsteen ever picked up a guitar. Did you see Springsteen’s face on Saturday? He was so emotional, he was barely holding it together. That’s how much Paul and the Beatles mean to him.

You should start with the early stuff, which is completely joyous. And if you really want to go down the rabbit hole, read a biography or two. The story of the Beatles is as astonishing as their songbook.
