What's in your dream full/cooked breakfast?

For me

Fried or grilled mushrooms. Never tinned
A fried egg
Potato scone
Crispy bacon
A square sausage might be nice
A piece of black pudding or haggis

With tea but I wouldn't say no to coffee instead. And preferably also a small glass of fruit juice.

On occasion I like some fried cubes of potato with rosemary and sometimes tofu scramble if I want a vegetarian breakfast.

Also it must be served for lunch or dinner as I don't eat breakfast.

What's on yours?

Fried egg or scrambled egg, Grilled tomato, mushrooms, hash brown. Before I stopped eating meat I would have said sausage and bacon but I haven't found any veggie sausages I like yet. Toast, orange juice.

Heck?

I was just thinking about having a cooked breakfast for dinner tonight.

Grilled tomatoes
Sausages
Fried egg
Mushrooms
Bacon
Black pudding
Fruit pudding although can never find it
Toast in a rack
Tea in a pot
Orange juice in a glass

Think that's it 😁

I love cooked breakfast for dinner!

Everyone I know thinks it's weird Hmm

Ooo I really fancy this now

Derbyshire oatcake
sausages
baked beans
fried mushrooms
black pudding
Grilled cherry tomatoes, not tinned tomato
fried egg
apple juice (why do places only usually offer orange juice or tea in the price ?! I don't like either)

hammsalllad · 26/06/2022 17:20

Runny fried egg
Hash brown
Toast (danish bread so it's light and crispy) with proper salted butter
Beans
Grilled mushrooms
Fruit juice
Piping hot English breakfast tea

I do like bacon and sausage but I can take them or leave them on a cooked breakfast I prefer more of the above

I quite often used to have cooked breakfast for dinner on a Sunday when I was at uni, my housemate thought I was bonkers until she tried it and got converted 😄

MintyGreenDreams · 26/06/2022 17:21

Crispy bacon.
Well done pork sausages.
Buttery scrambled eggs.
White toast

hammsalllad · 26/06/2022 17:22

And a huge dollop of HP fruity sauce

hammsalllad · 26/06/2022 17:22

And black pudding! Missed that off

RoyKentsChestHair · 26/06/2022 17:23

Had a hash in America once that was like brisket beef, green pepper and onions, cubed potatoes, all cooked with some delicious seasoning, and served with a fried egg on top. That was awesome!

Also fluffy pancakes, bacon and syrup.

I think America might be my stomach’s spiritual home.

RoyKentsChestHair · 26/06/2022 17:24

Full English needs a good black pudding (I used to have mine flown in from Scotland by a local pilot - that may be the most Mn thing I’ve ever said!)

and also fried bread, liberally sprinkled with salt, and decent (Napolina) tinned toms, no grilled tomato for me.

ParadiseLaundry · 26/06/2022 17:28

Cooked breakfast, just the best.

2 pieces of thick cut well done bacon
1 sausage
2 fried eggs, runny of course
Fried bread
Mushrooms
Tomatoes
2 hash browns
Maybe some beans

My grandma used to make an amazing fry up where she cooked everything in one pan and then dipped the bread in all of the juice in the pan 🤤 I just can't recreate the flavour but a part of it was her home made bread.
Starving now 😂

HeelsAtDawn · 26/06/2022 17:29

We used to do breakfast for dinner every Wednesday because it worked with clubs. I loved it actually- I might revisit it.

SiobhanSharpe · 26/06/2022 17:32

No beans at breakfast, please! They're just about OK for tea-time, on toast or with fried egg and chips.
Tinned baked beans generally have loads of sugar added, they're very sweet and smother other flavours. Home-made ones are ok, unless it's an American recipe in which case reduce the sugar/treacle/molasses by about 90 pct.

MinorWomensWhiplash1 · 26/06/2022 17:34

Eggs royale (poached eggs, smoked salmon, hollandaise, English muffin) with bacon and avocado on the side. Coffee and orange juice, then a pain au chocolate to finish. I’m not sure I could actually eat all that but a girl can dream…

WishILivedInThrushGreen · 26/06/2022 17:35

Bacon
Sausage and a slice of Lorne
Well grilled tomatoes
A soupçon of baked beans
Fried egg
A half slice of fried bread with extra toast
White pudding
Black pudding
( both of these puddings need to be Scottish )
Mushrooms
Maybe a few crispy potatoes

Potato scone you say ...🤔

Hillary17 · 26/06/2022 17:37

Fried egg, couple of bits of crispy bacon, sausage (only one though), Branston beans, grilled mushrooms & has brown. Two slices of white buttered toast. Ideally with an orange juice!

MyCatsSlave · 26/06/2022 17:39

Smoked bacon, sausages, Scottish black pudding, haggis, fried mushrooms, fried eggs, tomatoes, potato scone and sourdough toast with a pot of tea.

xyzzyx · 26/06/2022 17:39

Bacon
Sausage (pork and apple ones)
Eggs either fried or scrambled
Fried mushrooms
Grilled tomatoes but would settle for tinned tomatoes!
Toast
Coffee

berksandbeyond · 26/06/2022 17:46

Crispy smoked bacon
Sausage
Slice sausage
Poached egg
Scrambled egg
Tattie scone
Hash browns
Haggis
Black pudding
White toast with salted butter
Baked beans in a separate bowl

Orange juice (with no bits)

This is in a magical world with no calories

Carrotzen · 26/06/2022 17:47

For me it would be:
2 x poached eggs
Beans
Mushrooms - big flat mushrooms lots of salt
2 x smoked streaky bacon
Sausage - a shitty breakfast sausage
Back pudding
Tattie scone
Fried bread
Roasted on the vine tomatos

Can add in some haggis if you like but not in place of black pudding.

mumda · 26/06/2022 17:48

I just added some black pudding to my sausage mash and beans tea.

Carrotzen · 26/06/2022 17:48

If fullness is not a concern would have sausage, flat sausage haggis and black pudding.

Actually also dream of a Mcdonalds sausage egg and cheese bagel - rip

Stravaig · 26/06/2022 17:50

Kedgeree
a mango
ice water

ODFOx · 26/06/2022 17:53

Fried slice,
Poached egg
Mushrooms
Smoked bacon
Butchers sausages
Black pudding
Haggis if in Scotland
Grilled tomato
With tea.

Or Kedgeree
