Inner tubes. Mmmmm.

JanglyBeads · 26/06/2022 12:44

EBF baby poo...

PlanetNormal · 26/06/2022 12:45

Surgical spirit. I became very enthusiastic about hand sanitising with the stuff in 2020. I also love the smell of the timber stacked up outside our local builder’s merchants, I wind down my window to enjoy it whenever I’m passing.

CounsellorTroi · 26/06/2022 12:46

Chlorine
Tar
Petrol
Dog paws and fur
Secondhand book shops

EBF baby poo...

Your own babies poo before they are weaned

Dh could never understand why it didn’t bother me as he throughly gagged whilst changing nappies.

It doesn’t work when you start to introduce food though. It just reeks then

Insulin

Insulin smells amazing. I wish I could get an insulin smelling product for cleaning my house.

Cerridwen83 · 26/06/2022 12:58

Manure! Fresh countryside!

Jollysexrennovator · 26/06/2022 13:01

Burning hair, when the lighter flame burns a bit higher than you expected it to! 😃

BrownHairedQuirk · 26/06/2022 13:09

Pub smell. I don’t drink or smoke but the smell of beer and cigarettes, especially on a hot day 👌🏻

Yorkshireteabags · 26/06/2022 13:14

Bleach
Petrol
Bbq

Stormchaser1502 · 26/06/2022 13:19

Fresh manure while the farmer is muck spreading

Oldnews · 26/06/2022 13:20

Love the smell of insulin too! And I love how it's slightly pearly/sparkly

There is some sort of cookie/doughnut stall in my nearby shopping centre and every time I walk past it, the smell is EXACTLY like what my kids' nappies smelled like when they had only breastmilk. It's Proustian.

It also slightly nauseates me that people are queueing up to buy stuff from there Grin

Rubber. It intensified so much when I was pregnant I used to drive to Halfords so I could hang around in there and inhale deeply 😂

Also love the smell of the inside of a new pair of rubber gloves 🤷‍♀️

ouch44 · 26/06/2022 13:32

Think lots of people like the smell of dogs paws though. Doesn’t make sense why they smell nice though given how often they stand in their own wee and poo!
Just checked Ddogs paws and smelling good today 😂

Don’t like it with supermarket, but the butchers. Yes Blush

Oooh that's a vile one 🤮

Heytheredeliah · 26/06/2022 13:39

I used to love the smell of my cat. Weird I know. She smelt like hay

germsandcoffee · 26/06/2022 13:40

Burnt toast

a struck match

Yes!

I used to light matches and blow them out just to smell that smell.

And I would scratch the strike but because it smells nice

Cats. I think they smell lovely, like hay and wholemeal digestive biscuits. I can't go past a cat without burying my face in their fur and breathing in their beautiful smell. My children think I'm a bit embarrassing.

SwedishEdith · 26/06/2022 13:45

I think most of these are standard "favourite smells" except this one Also the smell of damp towels that have that faint mildewy smell and need a wash. 😧
