I’ve got a shitty cold and feel like death. Need something fun to watch that doesn’t require any actual brain-cell involvement. We have all the main streaming services and don’t mind chucking in a few quid to rent something. Hit me with your top picks, pleasethankyou!

It’s June, Wimbledon of course

The inbetweeners movie. Pure shite, but I can't not watch it when I see it's on TV.

Music and Lyrics is one of my faves

I love something like Bourne, Mission Impossible or Spooks for a time like this, or Enemy of the State, or the other day I watched The Pelican Brief. I like a few explosions when I want to switch my brain off Grin

Austenland. (Netflix) I saw it for the first time feeling like you are now. A bit of fun. Hope you feel better soon.

Booksmart! Or...Legally Blonde is on Netflix

MikeWozniaksMohawk · 25/06/2022 19:49

The Hustle on Netflix. Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson, very easy watching and pretty entertaining.

When Harry Met Sally - has to be my favourite all-time film. Feel-good but very witty.

Badger1970 · 25/06/2022 19:51

The new Downton Abbey film is available on Sky to rent?

I love a Bond film, always makes me feel better if I'm poorly.

The Untouchables (2011) one with Omar Sy.

Firstly he's gorgeous.

But it's a really lovely and funny film, a really 'warms the cockles' one.

An awesome scene involving Omar Sy - did I mention he's gorgeous?! 😁 - dancing to Boogie Wonderland.

I beg you to watch it. You're welcome 😉

My big fat Greek wedding, I watched last night on Amazon. Or father of the bride, my favourite.

Roseglen84 · 25/06/2022 20:06

I love Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away, both available on Netflix.

They are animation but for grown ups. The stories are a bit weird (deal with spirits or witchcraft), but not in a scary way and they have lot's of heart and have a feel good factor.

Also they are visually impressive, lots of slow scenes with beautiful scenery and nice music.
