Heavily pregnant and have lost all inspiration for meal planning.

What are you having for dinner this evening? ☀️

OP posts:

We are having grilled spiced chicken, pan fried aubergine, boiled rice, left over brown lentil from last night dinner, pan fried vegetables and fried potato slices
Good luck for the impending birth.

JanisMoplin · 15/06/2022 11:50

falafel wraps and salad.

BadAtMaths2 · 15/06/2022 11:52

DH bought coop tortellini filled with chicken and marscapone and garlic bread. I'm not convinced....but can't say anything as he's trying to step up to do more of the food planning.

DoubleShotEspresso · 15/06/2022 11:53

Baked salmon with a cream cheese/sweet chilli sauce and herb crust with home mead potato salad, coleslaw snd salad

Yodaisawally · 15/06/2022 11:55

BBQ but can't be arsed to go shopping so it is looking like corn on the cob, chipolata and new potato kebabs with grilled red pepper.

My kitchen get the sun in the evening and we have no blinds / shades so I often end up cooking in my sunglasses and having the oven on is pretty torturous when it's warm. BBQ is much more civilised.

Badger1970 · 15/06/2022 11:56

Whatever falls out of the freezer first. I've lost the will to live with cooking at the moment.

Marscapone · 15/06/2022 11:56

chicken tacos If I can motivate myself to get the chicken breasts out of the freezer.

Tensmum11 · 15/06/2022 11:56

Waitrose bbq range chicken shawarma, salad and Spanish grains.

beachcitygirl · 15/06/2022 12:03

Monkfish with black pepper sauce. Ayrshire new potatoes & green beans. Home made cherry pie and whipped cream for pudding

AtLeastThreeDrinks · 15/06/2022 12:07

burnt aubergine chilli with all the Mexican sides. Planning to start it when we make lunch, then dump it in the slow cooker. A gift for future me!

wwyd2021medicine · 15/06/2022 12:09

Sea bass
Pan fried tender stem broccoli and pak choi
Jersey royals

No idea! Feels too hot for anything substantial, my DD is getting over a sickness bug and I'm 9 weeks pregnant so everything sounds gross 😫

SinkingSwim · 15/06/2022 12:12

Southern fried chicken, coleslaw and garlic & herb potatoes 😋

Namechanger1002 · 15/06/2022 12:17

We are having fecking toad in the hole 😫 far too hot for it but it’s the kids turn to cook tea and that is what they have decided on 😫

Garlic and herb marinated pork fillet with roast potatoes, carrots and brocolli.

Dementedswan · 15/06/2022 12:26

Mince and dumplings with new potatoes and veg. Far too warm but need to use the veg up and ran out of ideas.

peachescariad · 15/06/2022 12:29

Slow cooker pulled pork, bbq sauce, wedges & broccoli

Bloodybridget · 15/06/2022 12:32

Asparagus, followed by trout fillets with lemon couscous with an olive, walnut and tomato relish, and spinach which we'll eat at room temperature dressed with olive oil and lemon juice.
The trout is a Waitrose recipe from an in-store card, I made it a couple of weeks ago and it was lovely.
There will be rhubarb crumble for pudding as there was some crumble topping in the freezer and 2 sticks of rhubarb in the fridge.
White wine will definitely feature, too.
Anticipation is half the pleasure, no?

Amichelle84 · 15/06/2022 12:34

I have veg to use up so going to have pork steaks with roast sweet potato, green beans and cauliflower cheese. Would deffo prefer a salad in this heat but trying really hard to not be wasteful with food.

Chorizo, orzo and sweetcorn summer stew. www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/chorizo-orzo-sweetcorn-summer-stew

This looks yum!!! Definitely going to try this at some point

loulou2kent · 15/06/2022 12:41

Jacket potato with Cajun marinated pork loin steaks under the grill and salad. It's too hot. The jacket does itself and the meat takes 10 mins under the grill. Easy!

daisydalrymple · 15/06/2022 12:43

Salmon but I’m not sure what with yet.
I might put some veg in the oven with the salmon, think there’s courgette, pepper and mushroom, then I’ll do some broccoli too as the dcs will pick around the other veg! Couscous or rice.

SquigglePigs · 15/06/2022 12:50

Either a homemade chicken and vegetable curry or chicken and chorizo pasta (basically have some chicken to use but not sure what I fancy yet!).
