Heavily pregnant and have lost all inspiration for meal planning.

What are you having for dinner this evening? ☀️

Jacket potato's with bacon & cheese filling

BlueKaftan · 15/06/2022 14:07

Meat and cheese board, stuffed olives, falafel, breadsticks and hummus. It’s already 24 degrees here and although I love the heat I don’t like to cook in it.

Quornflakegirl · 15/06/2022 14:19

Theoldwoman · 15/06/2022 14:22

We had marinated chicken wings with fried rice, chopped up cucumber, tomatoes and peppers on the side.

Monkfish with black pepper sauce. Ayrshire new potatoes & green beans. Home made cherry pie and whipped cream for pudding

I'll be round at 6! I'll bring white wine 😊💐

Ohhhh I fancy a barbecue. Sadly we only have a tiny back yard (end terrace) and although we’ve made it cosy and lovely it’s just not big enough to bbq without potentially pissing off the neighbours. Sad times. Luckily our house is very cool in the summer no matter how hot it gets here so I can comfortably use oven/hob without it getting too much.

Stop showing off 😆

How on earth is that showing off? It’s a perfectly normal meal - a handful of simple but delicious ingredients and you get a lot back for the effort you make. Never understand comments like yours...it’s not as if pp has listed a menu full of hard to source ingredients and dropped in a Booths or F&M reference just for the sake of it!

AmazingBouncingFerret · 15/06/2022 15:16

I’m about to put a chicken in to roast and then teenage son will be doing us a chicken salad with jersey royals and his homemade dressing.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 15/06/2022 15:18

^ and that is showing off. He’s pretty damn handy in the kitchen for a fifteen year old! Grin

sendwineandastraw · 15/06/2022 15:18

Chorizo and rosemary Pearl barley risotto, though now that I’ve got all the ingredients out it’s feeling a bit too autumnal for this hot weather!

lyns86x · 15/06/2022 15:28

Sausages and rolls ... might fry some onions as veg Grin

Startuplife · 15/06/2022 15:38

I’ve been trying really hard to stay on my diet and within my calories but I’m running out of ideas for meals that will keep both me and DP happy (he’s a 6 ft twig desperate to put on weight!)

So tonight is pizza for him and a cook from frozen basa fillet with salad for me. On Wednesdays I do spin followed by Pilates so it’s usually a quick dinner as I don’t get home until 8.30. I do cook properly the rest of the week!

JellyBellyNelly · 15/06/2022 15:39

Homemade chips with bread and butter. A very rare treat and in my defense I had a lovely breakfast and lunch. Everyone else is having left overs from lunch.

CHiSOCG · 15/06/2022 15:43

Teriyaki salmon , steamed veg and boiled rice…

AuntieMarys · 15/06/2022 15:44

Egg salad

starfishmummy · 15/06/2022 15:44

Just DS and I so we are having home made "French bread pizza". So basically half a small baguette with cheese and toppings. If I called it cheese on toast (which it is really) he wouldn't eat it! I might rustle up some salad if I can be bothered!!

Hadalifeonce · 15/06/2022 15:44

DS making fajitas.
