I agree with nearly all of these. Never realised how much I actually hate the word 'meal' as well.

Also hate the words 'artisan' and 'bespoke'. They used to be fine until the last few years when suddenly everyone decided to open up their own business selling bespoke cakes or artisan wax melts or whatever.

I've begun to hate "meds" for medicine or medication. Such a pointless shortening.

Meal gives me the cringe. No idea why.

Also hate it when anyone other than my kids call me mummy. My mum calls me mummy when talking to me when my kids are around. It's fine when referring to me as mummy and talking to kids but actually calling me that makes my skin crawl.

And also baby or babe when talking about the baby or a baby. It doesn't take any longer to say the baby.
'Is baby ok?'
