Pulp. Different Class

no. I don’t think so.

Maybe Meat Loaf, Bat out of Hell.

How on earth can your 2 best albums be either Pulp or Meat Loaf.... that's bonkers.
Pulp I love. Meat Loaf I do not.
Fleetwood Mac is a good call.

Meatloaf and Fleetwood Mac Yes Yes Yes

Pulp - so so (actually it's great but not a patch on the other two)

Time40 · 22/05/2022 00:16

@Antarcticant Queen II

Yay! Me too. No one ever remembers that album, but it's their best.

Meccano Mind - Syntax
Foxtrot - Genesis
Ceremonials - Florence and the Machine
Second Light - Dreadzone

... I could go on and on. I must have about fifty "favourite" albums.

Just had to double check the date of this thread wasn't from 1986

Babyroobs · 22/05/2022 00:21

Two of my favourite albums too op.

Origamiheaven · 22/05/2022 00:24

Graceland Paul Simon

dropthevipers · 22/05/2022 00:27

In no particular order=Queen -"Sheer Heart Attack"-every song a banger-no filler at all. Lou Reed-"Berlin"-bit of a wrist slasher but none the worse for that. Laurie Anderson-"Big Science"-just weirdly brilliant.

Agreed!

Just listening to the opening bars, I am in my 20s again, carefree…

MurderAtTheBeautyPageant · 22/05/2022 00:33

I'm going to add Moon Safari by Air too. God knows how many times I've listened to that.

And Paris 1919 - John Cale.

NetballHoop · 22/05/2022 00:34

Pink Floyd - Wish you were here. Memories of a long summer in Spain with this playing as I floated in the pool.

wildasthewind · 22/05/2022 00:36

David Bowie Ziggy Stardust

Yes !

pisspants · 22/05/2022 00:39

it's an awesome album for sure. Would also add Mezzanine by Massive Attack to the list as well and leftist by Leftfield, oh to be back in the mid/late 90s again!

PeekabooAtTheZoo · 22/05/2022 00:45

@Antarcticant @Time40 Yep Queen II
I'd have Dark Side of the Moon or Meddle as my second choice. Oh or Ummagumma. Or Wish You Were Here.
...Yeah let's stick with Queen II it's solid.
