@TanteRose has it right. Hounds of Love is just perfect.

and agree Jagged Little Pill is incredible, and at such a young age.

Songs of Faith & Devotion (esp the Live album) - Depeche Mode

Throwawaytoday
I think I just have a bit of a problem with Meatloaf 😁
For me, there are a handful of bands I say I don't like (Meatloaf, Queen, Marillion, to name a few) and yet I seem to know their songs and all the words...

Bat Out of Hell is good but it was as admitted by the artist a real rip off of the Born to Run album.

luciatrope · 22/05/2022 14:54

Now 48.

kierenthecommunity · 22/05/2022 14:55

Duran Duran - All You Need is Now
Lindsey Buckingham - Out of the Cradle
Stevie Nicks - Wild Heart
Blondie - Eat to the Beat (and the first album I ever bought!)
Nirvana - Nevermind

This list has probably all but given the decade I was born in

Sparklingbrook · 22/05/2022 14:57

Dare-Human League and Rio-Duran Duran. I tend to not listen to albums any more though.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 22/05/2022 15:11

His n Hers is a stronger Pulp album, in my opinion (largely because Babies is AMAZING)

Different Class just defined the Britpop era though

SpiritOfEdna · 22/05/2022 15:14

Spirit of Eden, Talk Talk
Porcupine, Echo and the Bunnymen

CMOTDibbler · 22/05/2022 15:16

My measure of a truly great album is that I am happy for it to run through in correct order, every time, with no skipping - not necessarily all killer no filler as some light and shade works, but it should be a coherent set in some way.
So for me:
Appetite for Destruction by GnR. Just incredible and I could listen to it over and over
Operation MindCrime by Queensryche.
Metallica by Metallica
Bat out of Hell
Little Earthquakes by Tori Amos
