I nominate hotel showers. Every time I have to use one, I have the Crystal Maze theme playing in my head while I figure out which combination of knobs and buttons turns the shower on and not the bath taps.

Your nominations?

Dh went into the council office to pay cash for our parking permits. . The person couldn't add up the total cost when they were priced differently!! Dh had to tell them as we had worked it out and charged those wanting one accordingly..
I hate remote controls...

I feel this in my soul. I do everything I can to avoid coming in contact with a printer.

My vets.

Everytime I go with either of the dogs they try and upswell me something.

Had the first dog in for castration.

On the day of the op I had three separate phone calls for things they agreed were not necessary when I questioned them before they did the op that morning.

Clothes labels.

Stiff plastic packaging that only a superhero can break into.

Recording a detention for a student on our school system. I don’t understand why it’s so fiendishly complicated. You’d think it would be a one-click job but it takes forever and a great many different stages to complete and even then you don’t know if it’s properly recorded. I mean, it’s an after school detention, I’m not launching a nuclear missile.

the80sweregreat · 21/05/2022 12:17

Agree that showers are a nightmare in hotels.
I often end up being burnt or freezing cold !
Packaging is also difficult sometimes too. You need strong scissors .
Trying to get through to anyone ( such as insurance etc) on the phone.

Making a chaps payment. There was one person in front of me doing one, then me. I was in the bank for an HOUR. Surely it's here are the details, here is my bank card, here is my ID then bish bash bosh. But apparently not. They weren't even taking time with questions for me, just clicking on a screen!

My ‘just during covid’ work tracker. About 17 clicks to say you’re still doing the same job, in the same place, for the same days as last week.

You can do them in blocks, are you talking about actually recording the behaviour incident or just setting a detention?

Get life or critical illness quotes online without be subjected to loads of sales calls. Just give an idea of price and leave me alone.

BowerOfBramble · 21/05/2022 12:58

Yes to remote controls, never met one that didn’t have at least twice as many buttons as it needs to.

lightbulbs and batteries, there are at least 50 million versions of each so you need a whole box of spares and then still have to buy a new one.

pregnancy

SnotMikeUpPuffedHe · 21/05/2022 12:58

Wd40.

I went to buy a can the other week; there are loads of different sorts. There never used to be, I was bamboozled.
